Holiday Inn Auckland Airport

Only stayed due to airport delays. This place is not what I would call a 4 star Hotel. Carpets covered in stains throughout the whole complex. Buffet food awful. Frozen vegetables out of a supermarket packet. Chicken so dry the supermarket gravy could not save it. I used a piece of the chicken to hold my door open as a wedge. Bathroom fan could not be turned off so was disturbing my sleep also. Breakfast did not event have real orange juice just cheap kids fake fruit drink!. Bar prices were insanely expensive. The only positive is that the Bed was comfortable!. So recommend earplugs, don't eat or drink there, keep your chin up and you may enjoy your stay.

It was really nice staying there, though for one day. The staff were lovely. From the check in counter. Where I met Tu and his female colleague to the room service , it was a splendid experience. It is so convenient to get to the hotel from the airport because the shuttle bus, the yellow bus. I wished they had an email address on their website though. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience

Very good experience at a convention hosted here. The staff were so friendly and really made the stay so pleasant. The venue itself is very well decorated with plant life and the garden features a stunning pond, you hardly feel like you're mere meters from the motorway!nThe room itself, while advertised as disability friendly, had a very heavy door and was quite difficult to operate by the wheelchair user in my group. Otherwise, clean, comfy, the shower has a very good pressure unlike many hotels I have stayed in! I cannot comment on the food, other than the small platter. It is NOT small. It took 6 of us to finish it. 8.5/10

Really great place close to airport. Stayed here with my 3 kids, they loved the pool. The buffet was affordable as kids ate free and the selection was good! Breakfast selection was also great!nVery handy to the airport!!!

We stayed at the Auckland airport holiday inn for one night. If you are ever considering booking a airport hotel, you don't expect to be wowed. This hotel delivers great value experience. The staff was warm, nice and generally helpful. The decor was nice and I liked the garden around the pool, felt very maintained. We had lunch and breakfast, lunch was actually nice which I wouldn't expect from a holiday inn in the US, breakfast was ok. The rooms were ok, not the most modern, the fridge didn't work well, but it was on par with the price and expectations. Location ofcourse isn't central Auckland, but we managed getting in and out of the city fine with our rental car.nI would book here again if I'm ever in Auckland.
