PlaceMakers Mt Wellington

This is my favourite building supplier, especially when I purchase timber, they will always cut it to size for me. They are also extremely helpful here with advice about tools, paint or any renovation supplies. The other thing I love about peacemakers is they will always let you return or swap products if you get it wrong. Obviously only if they are unused

I regularly shop at this store but only as I hold an account there. The service in the retail store is well below what you experience at their closest competitors. This store has a very limited range, very few staff on hand or available to help and most staff seem disinterested in general. The trade section is marginally better and has a great range of the essential supplies. The kitchen section has been a good addition and I've had a good experience when dealing with the staff in this section....but overall I usually come away from the retail store mystified as to why the service is so poor....I think they need to find some more energetic, approachable and helpful staff that care about customer service.
