I enjoy shopping here. It is very cheap and I have been a regular customer since 2012. So amazing. So organized. So good for international students like me. If I ever leave New Zealand, I will miss this place the most

Woah what an experience being in store on a Thursday! It was stupidly busy from trying to get a car park to in store, it was like it was Xmas !nThe shelves were pretty full given how busy it was and good to see store staff filling as well.nPretty good ranging and variety of products including bulk yogurt!

Talking about this store - I have noticed when going to buy shopping their is clearly health and safety issues going on in this store - Staff moving ladders around with other staff on them from asile to asile which could place the staff nember on the ladder at risk of falling also I have seen bits of glass on shelves indicating something has broken and not cleaned up properly and my daughter noticed water leaking in the water asile and no staff bothering to clean it up and no slippery signs up to warn others. Also very impolite when asking a staff member a product enquiry and they have air pods in their ears very rude. This paknsave is the worst ive been to.nnRecommend Mill Street PaknSave if you want to have a better shopping experience.

28 August 2026 — Very disappointing experience at PAK’nSAVE Clarence Street. We all had valid IDs and were legally eligible to buy beer, but were refused without a clear explanation by the supervisor. We felt unfairly treated and left questioning whether discrimination played a role. At the time, we didn’t know how to react because we already felt judged because of our ethnicity. Staff should treat all customers fairly and communicate respectfully and clearly.

First time I have been to this pac n save, and it was the worst experience of my life!nIn bad condition, shelves half empty and staff very rude.nNever been to a supermarket, treated like this.nHad about 600$ worth of food in trolley. Once it was being passed through checkout, and put into the trolley, I put it into bags I had in my trolley.nA female staff member walked up to me and told me to get out, we don’t allow bags in this supermarket. I looked confused, said that I'm putting food into my bags now instead of when I’m at the car, what’s the problem. She asked security to come and they escorted me out. I’ll never be back.nWent to Mill street pac n save instead. Far better experience.
