Novotel Auckland Ellerslie

My partner and I stayed for two nights, Saturday to Monday. We knew in advance, by reading reviews, that the parking situation was poor so parked across the road and walked over. It was easy. The check in process was easy, good customer service but our room was missing a few things; hair dryer, second robe. Given the cost of the room, I rang reception to remedy as I wanted to use these items. The phone didn't work and had to be replaced but I didn't establish this until day 2 when multiple calls to reception, concierge etc did not get answered. Mackenzie at the front desk was very helpful and great customer service,.nThe place was clean and tidy and the quality of the furnishings was great. Comfortable bed, average shower.nBreakfast was fantastic, great value for money, lots of options and fresh. Room service was fantastic also.nLocation was great for us as we were visiting the Events Centre.nThe lifts didn't work for day 1 of our stay but thankfully we were only on the 4th floor.

Very rude front service desk specially night staff..they wake me up and ask me to move my car and he was telling me u r talking to manger and just listen what I said ..good luck ..I m with my family..that's why I didn't argue but way your attitude no one expecting. If your property have problem with parking it's not customer issue but can't disturb and on top attitude..after they disturb me I can't go to sleep now and I have to drive all day tomorrow...I stayed 5 nights but I fell like I slept in backpackers. Definitely they have to look at front desk people how they react with customer specially night staff. I keep reviewing because u wake me up and now I can't sleep..now time is 2.00am in morning and I going back wellington tomorrow. Driving whole day. To be honest this is my second visit and now last visit this property..I have more to complain which I will do in my next review..

Poor Service. I was called down stairs in the middle of night to move the car. Does not deserve 4 star rating. No hair dryer. Pretty old facility. some days towels are missing. They did not refill shower gel for 4 days. Parking is a nightmare. It is never available. Also, it is paid parking which they do no mention. Bar is average and the service was also average. Room size is good. Location is good and closer to lot of places.nnWifi speed was very slow.

Great service at the dine in restaurant. We just wanted to heat up some fried bread which was in a brown bag, Handled to the staff and she came back with a plate with our fried bread nicely placed on it. My kids were so impressed of her service and joked that we should tell mom that the fried bread was with the kitchen. Well done to her sorry, did not get her name. The only problem is limited car park and very tight car parking space.

A perfect stay. Big and spacious rooms with a pretty decent view. Overall the Front Desk staff were friendly and assisted me with all my queries. Overall it was wonderful!
