The Parnell Hotel & Conference Centre

This is lovely clean hotel situated out in the suburbs in a very pleasant area. The staff are great and nothing is to much trouble. Rooms good size along with a nice size bathroom and even a balcony that looks out over the bay in the distance. Nice restaurant and good food. We booked taxis from the hotel to town and then managed with difficulty to get one back!! Although if you are younger and fitter than us then its a decent walk. Just be careful what taxi you get. We were here for 4 days and were charged between 15 NZ dollars to 36 NZ dollars for the same journey.

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet hotel. The shower pressure was so awesome. The kitchenette was just perfect. The bed and pillows were just right, slept so well!! The restaurant was very good and reasonable

First impressions are everything they say. We were welcomed very warmly and optimistic about our stay because of this. It has a feeling of being under renovation as different parts of the building is aged/well used while our room was modern. Beautiful view.nAfter the first day our interactions with staff seemed to be a little flat. Not sure why. We had the feeling that we were booked in as guests and paid so now there is no need to put in the same welcoming energy. The restaurant is good. Reasonably priced and nice food and coffee. Only one out of 8? streaming programs on the television were able to be utilised. Comfortable downtime is also important for us. A bedside lamp wasn't working.nOther than that it's a good location. Shops within walking distance and not far from the rose gardens. 24/7 reception. I guess I would say it's worth the price. A feeling of being appreciated and welcomed throughout our stay is important to us, not just the food or amenities.

We've been a couple of times previously. This time, we stayed a week. It is nice and comfortable. We had a kitchenette. Fridge freezer.nIt's location suits our purpose. For others, it's closeness to downtown, but also Parnell and Newmarket. Will attractions. It is easy to get on the motorway in any direction.nI imagine we will be back.

Beautiful modern facilities, the bathroom was very luxurious with plenty of toiletries provided.nIn particular I was impressed with the smart TV's - they even had my name on the home screen!nHighly recommend as an affordable option close to the city center.
