I stayed at this hotel overnight for a work trip. While the facilities were comfortable and clean it has been an unfortunate experience for me as I was charged for room service I did not order. Upon enquiring I was sent the invoice which clearly had a different person's name although the person who is not known or related to me has shares my middle name. I also went out on a business dinner so I did not order room service. To this day I have not received a response to my email.nThis is very very disappointing and I don't feel comfortable giving my credit card details at check in because of this.

Extremely helpful, friendly staff. We really appreciated the hospitality, made our family and guests feel very welcome. Great facility, great location and fabulous restaurant. Everyone went out of their way to make a happy occasion very special.

Rooms are small, very basic, bathroom was similar to that on a cruise ship, had to step up into it, very compact, only had 1 cup for hot beverage, had to request a 2nd one so we could both have a cuppa, restaurant on site had a buffet dinner and wait staff were very nice. Meal was average. Great location for us to head across to Mt Smart Stadium, carpark charge was $25 for the night but literally outside the front door and very secure. Didn't hear any road noise which was great.

It is hard for me to write a sad review, and since I have, you'll know I'm not very happy. I have no complaint with the staff or service. But due to a malfunctioning toilet, the water to my room was turned off and I had to use the public toilet in the lobby - awkward. I get that they were full And could not offer me a new room, but charging me hotal rates for what was essentially a backpackers situation was not actually ok with me. I think they can do more to right this wrong.

Booked this room due to going to Armageddon at the Showgrounds so location was perfect and I felt a reasonable price considering it was armageddon weekend, room was good spacious enougg, standard amenities TV, kettle tea/coffee, WiFinPlug sockets not that close to the bed though twin roomnAlso didn't like the fact that I got charged $20 for parking over night, would honestly assume this was included in the price of the room when you book, I didn't see anywhere stating additional costs but I may have missed it, even on check in was only advised to give Reg and they would validate parking when we checked out... Just a little frustrating when you've paid $200 for a room already
