Great experience from go to whoa. Can't fault them! Late arrival in Auckland, went to the airport info desk where the helpful staff called Discount's after hours line. Prompt pick up from airport stop just a short walk from terminal. Lovely staff arranged SIM card for my phone and directed me to my car and Airbnb. Terrific little car, well presented, no mechanical problems, economical. Return was just as easy with prompt transfer to airport. Definitely recommend their service.

Upon pick up I was charged an extra $20 to what was on my email confirmation, they couldn't give me a reason for this. Then I was charged another $90 for insurance which I was not made aware was compulsory. The car seats were charged at $40 each, which differed to the original quote and booking. Both car seats were past their expiry dates. The booster seat is a Warehouse brand which, when new, only costs $25! The brakes were spongy and made a grinding noise when applied. The shuttle dropping us back to the airport left without us, making us late, then when we were dropped off it was at the wrong end of the airport, we had to run to make it in time which was not easy with bags and two young children. Terrible experience all round, would not recommend.

I used Discount car rentals on Russell road. They were brilliant.  Car was exactly what I paid for. They waited for me as I was a bit late and it was an excellent experience. Shuttle bus was great also.nThank you very much

This was a good experience. We flew in and out of Christchurch.nShuttle pick up instructions were clear and both times pretty much on demand. Car was as we ordered, small and economical.nIt didn't miss a beat on our tour around part of the South Island. The folk we dealt with picking up and dropping off were friendly and warm, so it felt like they were friends helping. We hired for two weeks, and the cost of hiring was about $180 cheaper than any other deal we could find on the internet. Based on our experience with this company we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Overall not a bad rental experience. The car we hired was old but in good condition, and communication with the company was good. The down side was the cleanliness of the windows and how they handled my complaint. All interior glass was either poorly cleaned or not cleaned at all, making it difficult to see through at times. When I called to complain, all I received was excuses and an offer for me to drive all the way back to the airport so they could clean it for me.
