Enjoy shopping here but bananas always seemed to be bruised so buy from countdown Usually.nI did purchase pams raspberry and cacao granola which was a great price although there were only 5 pieces of raspberry in the whole 400gram box.nCat biscuits expiry dates have to be very careful with as so many are close or past best before dates. This has been regular over the past 18 months.staff are usually friendly.nThey do have some different type of products which I find great.
Great range of nice food in the Deli which is the main reason I stop here. Just a word of caution though, if using the self-checkout with Eft Pos. There has been a delay processing the purchases I make to show up on my bank record. The transaction nor the amount deducted may not show up by sometimes up to 2 days!! It has now happened to me twice and only at this location.
Easily the worst new world in the South Island by far it’s surprising how much more complicated it is to shop here than any other new world you need to add another 10-20 minutes to your shop, want sauce you’ll have to visit 3 or 4 if you want mayo different aisles want salt/pepper/spices 3 different aisles, god forbit you want to cook anything Asian or Indian that’s multiple aisles aswell and there’s no international food section so half the items they say are in stock you cannot get here plus prices are the highest of any supermarket in nz year round every year consecutively

I went to the new world at st martins in the morning yesterday 25/05/2022, i got a pack of hellers country pork ,price on the tag was $7.49 , I didn't check my receipt at shop till I got home ,the price is $10.95 written on the receipt. As it is a handy shop to me so I went to get something on my way home this morning again ,I saw the pork sausage, the price is $7.49 the same price to yesterday so I went to the customer service to tell the lady who was behind counter, she gave me an impression that she wasn't happy about my complaints ,finally she said someone forgot to change the price at end of the week ,I was wondering how many people had bought it without looking at their receipts ? how much New world had made from the wrong prices on the products each day ?! she asked me to make another trip to get the receipt to prove I had purchased it then she will give $3.50 change back ,and no an apology given, as if I had been wrong to complain.
