Mornington Taphouse

Since the refurbishment, I really enjoy coming to this place. It's quite spacey and clean with a great view if you come here during the day. The staff are very friendly and attentive. My favourite meal to have here is beef schnitzel. It's very crispy without being too oily. The size is perfect with side salad and chips. You can choose to have it with gravy or mushroom sauce. It's a perfect place to enjoy dinner or lunch with friends and family. It's an old establishment which is popular amongs locals. Highly recommended for a nice pub meals.

Great service, and good food. We got a range of mixed plates to share, the garlic bread had cheese and was fab, pork belly was great too, and tacos had plenty in them. Thanks heaps

Meals and service were really good.nI rated it 2 stars for service because we had to wait over an hour to get our mains without being told of service delay.nWhen we got our kai served it was very good, no complaints!!! nWe would support this establishment again.

Great food and a nice atmosphere. The chicken burger was really yummy. Big breakfast was okay. But the waiting time was long due to some kitchen oven issue which was informed only at a later stage. Apart from that everything cool..

We decided to move from the restaurant into the Sports Bar because of the great open fire - much warmer in there. We had to ask twice about when the entree would arrive, and the mains took 40 minutes from time of ordering, although we'd been told 20 minutes. The mains were OK, but pricey. Unfortunately, the service from the brunette waitress was the rudest I've ever experienced in 40 years. She seemed to feel she was entitled to slam the entree and mains dishes down onto the table when she delivered them. Although we were in the Sports Bar, I didn't expect to see the duty manager throwing a rugby ball around between the tables with glasses and bottles. Don't ever want to experience that staff culture again.
