Love the food, had a delicious beef burger for lunch. Should have added an extra patty. Lovely quiet lunch place. Great service as the staff was accommodating to our request for room temperature water and unsalted chips.
Great food in a wonderful setting! We arrived here shortly before closing time, on our way back from penguin viewing, and we were graciously served fantastic meals. The lamb was delicious, and I loved that they served Craggy Range wines!
This place has lovely staff and atmosphere, but the food was nothing special and very bland. I got fish, which had very little taste and came with a few flavourless potatoes and green beans, and my husband ordered a medium-rare steak which was cooked medium-well and also didn't have much flavour. Very small portions and very steep prices.
Nice quaint restaurant, great for a stopover meal between the Royal Albatross Centre and Dunedin/Larnach Castle. The food was tasty, price was reasonable and service was nice and prompt.
We ordered 2 mains between 2 persons and just wanted to share the tasting of the soup. And they charged us for a share plate bowl cost of NZ$3.50 which I think is pretty steep.nnThe ploughman’s lunch comprised of very basic ingredients, the chutneys were nothing to shout about. The seafood chowder was rather ordinary and I nearly swallowed a piece of 1cm clam shell.nnSuper disappointed. It was nothing of the standard when Ian was there. It will be the last time I recommend this restaurant to anyone.
