What a great spot! Reminded us of brew pubs around Colorado which is where my husband is from. Spacious and nice modern industrial atmosphere, the main courses we had weren't the best though, except the fried mushroom appetizer was delicious. My chips were quite terrible, some dry, some soggy and just tasteless, and the fish batter was too heavy and dense. But the service was great. I had a beer flight of 6 and I don't think I picked the right beers, I do love their hazed and confused which is why we came here in the first place, because our local pub back home has it on tap, but the rest of the beer was uninspiring.
Looking for a place for a late lunch before penguins and could not have guess better! Food was very good and atmosphere was superb, excellent beer. I don’t drink alcohol so I have lemon, Lime and bitters fizz. My periperi chicken was very good and tasty. I stole the best chips ever from my husband burger side!
An easy 5 stars and recommendation, all their wonderful pilsners are a must, water is so pure and clear along with the great brewing!nAll staff are so lovely and friendly the chips here are worth coming alone
An absolute amazing experience here. I came to eat at the restaurant for lunch and was impressed with the service, the speed the food came out and the food itself! I ordered the Korean chicken burger which was nice but a little too watery with kimchi, the thrice cooked fries amazing and brisket amazing. The beers are also very nice! There's also a gift store so you can buy tee shirts, caps and beers. I'd highly recommend this place for tourists and locals. It's decently priced too especially given the quality of the food which I'd say was the best food in the South Island.
I paid $36 for a meal that consisted of three very small pieces of monkfish and three zucchini fries. Unfortunately, the portion size was far below expectations for the price charged.nnTo be completely honest, I was still hungry after finishing the meal and had to purchase additional food elsewhere, which was disappointing.
