The security guy at the entrance/exit needs to do better at Kmart 3/01 around 2pm, just because we look different, could clearly see how you treated other customers who did not appear like us. If you don’t like customer service and aren’t happy with people look for something else. Kmart, do you keep them to make people feel bad about themselves?
The customer service I received from Tanu at the self checkouts earlier today was awesome. After working in retail myself and knowing the frustrations that come with it, especially when understaffed and alone at self checkouts with a long line of impatient people she handled it very well. I needed help fixing/finishing the assembly of a toddler bike for a birthday present and returning other items. Her communication was clear and helpful. A little recognition goes a long way. I hope she is congratulated for her work.nSide notenNever and I mean NEVER try call Kmart. I went thru the answering machine options and waited for someone to take my call for 5 mins before being told “no one can take your call”, what an absolute joke. Answering customer calls is a VERY important part of any business. Especially retail. Something Kmart and the warehouse have in common, never pick up the phone
Was in Kmart this evening 6/10/2025 and a worker came towards my friend and I are accused us of opening beauty products which was far from what we were doing. She made us feel like we were teenagers opening and making a mess outta the place.nShe then continued to just stand and watch us when we were looking at other things and gave us the side eye when we had left the aisle. We took the hard lid off a moisturer to smell it it had a plastic seal on it so we couldn’t smell it anyways but we weren’t expecting to get yelled at by someone, a simple polite statement would have been nice not a full on scream like I’m doing something illegal.
Papanui Kmart is the worst place i ever visited. Had an item to return with bill and wanted to buy something else. The staff at the counter asked my bank card. Unfortunately it was not with me and i asked for a credit note. The girl refused and said if i want the refund i need to bring it back. I went second time with my bank card. Have to wait in the line for another 10 minutes, ask if it is a gift how can i provide a bank card. She said if so, i need to bring the copy of the purchaser's bank card or at least last four digits. Sounds so crazy... should not buy gifts for others for sure.
Brought a product, took it home and when I opened the SEALED BOX I found the contents in a sandwich bag with the open bags packed in there too, half of the items were missing and I was unable to build said product; when I tried to call the store I was on hold for minimum 10 minutes before I got an automated message saying “announcement, no one is available to take your call, thank you for calling; goodbye.”nnShaking my head
