Harvey Norman Wairau Park (Flagship Store)

Called yesterday to enquire about the price of a DJI product i wanted to pick up, as I’m eligible for a corporate discount. Grant the manager, was the most unhelpful manager I’ve spoken to. He didn’t seem to know what he was talking about and said he’d get someone to call me “in a minute”, it’s now been 24 hours. Already bought from Noel Leeming Wairau now, super easy to deal with.nWe recently bought quite a few appliances from Harvey Norman after purchasing a home, but we definitely won’t be coming back. Very disappointing Grant.

I am sad and very unimpressed with my visit to HN Wairau today.nnI have been there a couple of times to learn about the products, understand what would be suitable for me, and of course to check and compare prices — who doesn’t?nnToday, I came in with the intention of finalising my purchase for my new home, mainly a fridge, washing machine, and dryer, along with other small appliances. I had done my research and believed HN was the best option because of its reputation and the 60-month instalment programme.nnWhen I arrived, no one acknowledged me — including a sales consultant who had helped me on a previous visit. The store was quiet, yet staff simply stared at me without even saying hello or asking if I needed help.nnEventually, a sales consultant named Sam approached me and offered assistance. He was friendly and helpful.nnSuddenly, another staff member who had helped me before interrupted and shouted to Sam, in front of me, “He’s been here a couple of times and talked with some people. We don’t have the products — it’s going to be February.” His name is Shafeel. He was also the person who refused to give me a quote during my first visit, without explaining why, which is why I was not interested in speaking with him today.nnHe did not greet me at all, despite clearly seeing me walk in. I later learned that he may be a manager, as he appeared to have authority and frequently intervened in conversations.nnI left the store feeling annoyed and upset and decided to take my business elsewhere, even if it means paying more or not having access to long-term instalments.nnI am genuinely surprised by this experience at a branch that refers to itself as a “flagship store.” Many staff were standing and walking around, yet there was no genuine intention to help. It even gave me the impression that the “flagship” title may have led to arrogance rather than approachability and customer care.nnI would appreciate it if senior management could reach out to me, as this was not a pleasant experience.

I recently contacted the sales customer service team by phone to inquire about a product. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The representative spoke in a rushed and dismissive tone. He also hang up while I am still on the line, how rude!!!!! He is an Indian guy!!!!nAs a customer, I expected a courteous and helpful conversation, but instead felt like my concerns were not valued.nI hope the company can provide additional training to ensure their phone sales team communicates more respectfully and patiently with customers.

I followed up on a warranty case and gotten feedback that it with not a manufacturer fault. Didnt even call me for 3 days. I had to follow up. Used the product for only a few months not even half a year. I asked then what caused it. Staff answered “i dont know” i cant even get a response. Whats the point of purchasing additional warranty for the product?????? Or just a proper CS would be nice! Frustrating as a customer

Arun who is tech team member is amazingly professional and kind. When I visited harvey norman for computer keyboard problem, his solution was so accurate. I appreciate to him about this matter. Thank you !
