Harvey Norman Wairau Park (Flagship Store)

I recently bought an air fryer from Harvey Norman, but after opening the box, I found one of the trays was missing.nnWhen I visited the Wairau Park store, Jake provided excellent service. He was friendly, professional, and quickly resolved the issue.nnThank you, Jake, for making the process so easy. This experience has made me even more confident in shopping at Harvey Norman.

PLEASE MAKE PAPER BAGS AVAILABLE??? My stuff came in a small box and You can’t give me a single bag. Came in for one thing and one associate offered to help me, I asked if the item came in the color I wanted, she immediately said no without considering she’s talking about the wrong model. Then she told me she needs to prioritize the other customer first. I bought the item them checked out only to find out that they don’t have a single paper bag for sale or for free. So dumb.

I had a fantastic shopping experience at Harvey Norman, thanks to Navid, the floor manager. His customer service was exceptional and highly professional. He provided us with all the information we needed before making our purchase and gave us the space to think it over, which we really appreciated. He wasn’t pushy at all, making the experience feel special for us. We absolutely love the outdoor seating we purchased! I’d like to commend Navid’s 5-star service and hope it’s recognized by higher management.

We came in and purchased a rangehood and cook top during the black Friday sales. We made is very clear the kitchen would need to be completed by March. We were told it wouldn't be a problem so proceeded with the purchase only to find out after that the rangehood isn't actually in stock and won't be available until mid April. We would have purchased an alternative had we known that was the case. In fact we went in with the intention to buy another model but the salesman talked us into this one.nWe had a similar situation with a dishwasher purchased through Harvey Norman a few years ago.

I have been disappointed by your Wairau branch customer service multiple times and today’s experience is my last straw and would never set foot there anymore. In the past, it’s either staff have no customers service skills, uninterested, or just plain lazy. I never complained about 1 staff who was helping me find something but when she couldn’t find the key to open a glass display, she went looking and I was waiting for nothing coz she never came back. I saw her talking to other staff like nothing happened. I ended up asking another guy to help me. This happened last year.nnToday, 17 Nov, I was in to purchase a microwave. I knew what I wanted but just had a question. No one ever assisted me, actually nobody was around. When I saw staff, he brushed me off and said he was with another customer. I decided to just pick up the box and pay but then I just really wanted to ask something first, so I asked another lady who also said she was attending to another customer. Their faces almost irritated why I even asked for help.nnNow I know and understand that they just can’t leave their customers, but there’s a difference with a good customer service. A good one would have said “I’m currently assisting another customer but let me find someone else who can help you” or if everyone is busy, then they could offer help after they’re done with their customer. I was so pissed I just walked out and bought from JB, which I should have done in the first place.nnIt’s not that hard Harvey Norman. Very disappointing for a big company. You should do better.
