Just beware of items that are heavily discounted. Most of them are expired. Only if u dun mind. Wide variety of choices to choose from. Btw nothing is cheap in Auckland.
This supermarket is SO STINKY. I CANNOT believe how the workers in there stay for so long. Also the breads look moldy and very disgusting. I do NOT recommend going there. One step into the supermarket and the smell will hit you like lightning.
Various of Asian goods that you can get and should try some Asian snacks , pastries, fruits like durian, vegetables. Part of the supermarket have butcher stall and some frozen meats. They also sell some kitchen items as well.
I would review this supermarkt zero star if it is allowed me to do so.nHorrible service attitude. Esp, oneof the cashier who normally serves in the middle of the counters. She charged me several times for wrong prices or double charged me. When I found out and went back to her, she felt clearly annoied as if it is me who did sth wrong. After she corrected and made the refund, she even does not bother to look at me , needless to expect she will apology for her mistakes.nI talked with some friends and they all noticed that. Also, we all know she never says hello to any customers. Very rude! We went there only for convience for it is close to our homes. Now we all would rather go to other shops as much as possible. Anyway, their prices are not attractive and the shop is so dirty and messy. Don't have good shopping experiences in all terms.
Da Hau Google ReviewnI purchased radish and lettuces from Rong Cha Chinese supermarket in cash $4 without asking a printed receipt and took bus home. When I passed by Da Hua Chinese Supermarket on Dominion Road, I decided to pop in for a quick look. I did not find anything interesting for me to buy. The cashier found I carried a bag and looked at it, I thought she might think I had sth from its shop, so I offered my bag for her to inspect. She found the items and asked me the receipt. I told her the story and I said if she did not believe me, then they can check their CCTV. The cashier next to her in the middle shouted at me “You steal it without the receipt” that is such an insulting to anyone in such a situation. I raised my voice and repeated again for a CCTV check to prove my innocence. One of their staff went to upstairs for about 10 minutes. She did not say anything, but I asked whether they checked or not. She just said they did not bother to check and asked me to leave. I did not want to leave like this. I asked them to say I did not steal the items from them otherwise they should apologise to me for accusing me of stealing. They ignored both and left me alone there. I repeated my requests again. Then, there was a man rushing downstairs and shouting at me “calling the police and letting her have a criminal record”. Then four staff surrounding me and shouting “calling the police”, one of them even videoed me using her mobile phone. I shouted back “I did not steal anything from you, I am not afraid of this, please call the police. I will call if you don’t.” A woman, I guess, is in charge. She called the police. I waited for more than 20 minutes; no police are coming. So, I called the police and was told the shop called not for reporting stealing at all, only for someone shouting at the shop. I explained everything to the police on the phone and was advised the police won’t come due to this non emergent issue. I went to see the woman in charge after hanging up the phone and told her I will go back to the shop I bought the items from and got the receipt or proof of my purchase, which I did straight away.nI handed over the statement from the shop where I bought the items and went back to Da Hua to show to the woman in charge and the two cashiers. They all changed their attitude but only said “Yes, you did not take the items.” Without looking at the statement. That is all without any apologises.nFirstly, the shop does not entitle to check their customers’ bags without permission of the customers even there is a sign in the shop to state they have the right doing so as per Consumers Law NZ.nSecondly, they cannot accuse someone of stealing without any proof. Obviously, they checked their CCTV after they accusing me of stealing, but they did not want to admit they made a mistake. This is the reason why they want me to leave and this is the reason why they did not report to the police of stealing.nThirdly, I sent a letter for requesting for their formal apologises the next day. They did not respond. So, I reported to the police that the shop wrongly accused me of stealing in public and also, the shop falsely reported me shouting at the shop on their own purpose. They did not make any apologies after I proved myself innocence.nThe shop runs in such ridiculous way and treats their customers as thieves. I don’t think it happened to me only. Even to criminals, the court cannot accuse them of any crimes without solid proof. How dare the shop insult their customer in public?!
