This Countdown is the best. Much nicer feel in-store than your average supermarket, and what really sets this store apart from the rest is it’s 6am opening time 7am is standard for Countdowns. The staff are the only redeeming quality of big supermarkets in my opinion. The staff try keep the place tidy but it's a pretty busy place. There's lots of parking here if that's something you care about. Like most places in Auckland it's quite large. There's a pharmacy inside which is convenient. There's also enough room for 2 trolleys to pass each other comfortably in most aisles. Personally I refuse to use the self check out if you like them there's a lot of them and it can be pretty busy so you might be waiting for a bit if you're anything like me.

Have bought mandarins with a few of them were off, papaya's are often bitter.This issues are ongoing. When produce and goods prices are expensive quality should be too. At self checkout, the check out operator is often called over to check the shopping bags in your trolley and then there's a video of you checking out your goods replayed to double check whether you didn't scan some of your items. This happened a few times and I will not return to this shop anymore. Have been a customer for 8 years. Thank goodness there's other grocery stores in the area with better service and quality goods.

Outstanding vegetables and fruits. Even better selection of cheeses including the spectacular and awards winning special brand Over the Moon. This is a good supermarket.nFrom 1 January 2019 this store will need to address how people with mobile shopping trolleys can use the self service facility to utilize this way of shopping. Not everyone wants to carry a heavy bag. I pointed this out to 2 staff members and they noted they'll discuss their service improvement to ensure that this can occur. It'd be great if this was the first Countdown in Auckland to effect this improvement.
