I went to countdown ponsonby deli and I must say I had an amazing experience. Well done Lucky, for serving your customers so well!! I asked for a special request for the sandwich and he was very kind and patient with how I wanted my food, he was working alone in deli, shame on the management for making the poor guy work all alone in deli, having to handle the kitchen but also the customers, well done lucky keep it up! Enjoyed my food a lot

The Ponsonby Countdown was near new condition. They decided to fully renovate it at others expense whilst they close other stores. new flooring lighting etc and decided it was a good idea to relocate every item to a new area. They said they weren’t passing on these costs. They have, as In this instance I contacted the suppliers and they said they had not put forward a price increase notice on the items in the photo of in store since the renovation.

Unbelievable experience with the middle aged woman managing the service desk yesterday.. in a bizarre attempt to bully me while picking up an online order that was full of things I didn’t order.. she tried to insinuate I was intoxicated 5:30pm on a Friday on my way home from work and literally confiscated the beer from my trolley. I’m still shocked by the encounter

Toilets are always pretty dirty even despite recent renovations. You would think for a food establishment hygiene would be important. No hand soap n they even stock it with the nasty cheap 1 ply toilet paper lol.nMake you wonder what else is going on back of house ?
