CHT Lansdowne Care Home

if i could give less than one star I would. My Nana went here years ago after a broken leg surgery -she was older and of age-needed to be taken delicate care of. Hence why this place was selected. Lo & behold, my Nanas dressing never ever got changed- leading to infection - which then led to amputation. My nana was already old & helpless- but then to have to have an amputation at the age of 65? because of the carelessness of the staff here. SHAME ON YOU. i will never ever forgive lansdowne- and will continue to spread the truth!

The food here is terrible, this is by no means nutritional and I have been there on many occasions when she has had her lunch in her room, when I visit.nnThe main thing I didnt like was staff yelling to each other down the hallway, not great when residents are trying to sleep or just relax, also clothing and other items have disappeared to never be found again. Ended up vacuuming my Mothers room more than once, because it appears nothing is moved to vacuum properly, wish we could get her out of here to be honest.

We were looking into Resthomes for my grandmother, who's 87 yrs old. We were recommended Lansdowne by her GP. Before taking her there, my sister decided to apply for a job, so that we get to see what staff were like. She had to get experience first. She joined a HCA course, and for work experience, she was sent to Lansdowne. The manager Ricci, a Phillipino woman, was nice and approachable. But alot of staff members had so much negative things to say about her, behind her back. Most of the staff, treated residents very poorly behind closed doors. The staff were very polite infront of family members, but once they left, the staff were very rude and quite abusive vocally to residents. The activities staff were boring and didn't have much activity for residents. The RNs were snobby and quite rude. We ended up taking my grandmother to a different RH. She's quite happy there.
