This is a proper local gem in Pakuranga if you're after an outstanding brew. I'm a regular here, averaging 3 mornings a week at least to get my caffeine fix.nnThe coffee is always good - rich and robust. The team really know their craft - they even roast their own beans on-site!nnThe food options are great too, tasty and good portion sizes. They always seem to have a good variety. I have to say I love the service. Fast, friendly and efficient. While I usually drink my coffee on the go, I have met people there for coffee and have enjoyed the laid-back vibe and cool, semi-industrial setting.nnRoma Coffee are absolutely smashing it as a neighborhood local. If you're in East Auckland, they are well worth a visit.
I stumbled upon a hidden gem while waiting for my car being serviced — a quaint cafe that truly knows the art of coffee! Nestled in a charming corner, this cafe offers an unforgettable experience for all the senses.nnFrom the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans envelops you in a warm embrace. The ambiance is a perfect blend of cozy and trendy. And the coffee, OMG, the flavors are rich and robust, with hints of caramel and a delightful nutty undertone. With all these, I can't believe they only charge $5.8 for a large latte! I mean, a really “large size”nnSo, if you find yourself in this part of the town, do yourself a favor and make a beeline for this coffee haven. You won't be disappointed.
The first thing that hits you even before you enter is the aroma of Roma. Then at the entrance is a nice set of welcoming tables & chairs, & the counter has an amazing variety of antique collectibles from percolators, coffee pots grinders & some other gadgets which I did not have a clue of. Bewildering collection to say the least & very nicely presented. They have a range of pastries, cakes & accompaniments to have as eats with a coffee or your beverage of choice. Then the piece de resistance is their coffee roaster & allied machinery in the background. I am guessing here they have three or four machines, the beans go into the first & then are piped through one to another. A bit like Willie Wonka's chocolate factory. Plenty of pipes & tubes & you can actually hear all the beans travelling through them while the machines mix, roast & churn everything. Fascinating place to visit & took me a while to adjust to the whirring of the machinery, but it was not that loud so as to drive me away. The Kiwi Coffee Oompa Loompas kwoompas busily carried out their tasks placing the beans & filling bags, toasting & roasting, percolating & brewing great coffee, barristas frothing away milk & steaming through the tamped coffee in their machines. Adding savouries & baked delights & cakes & goodies serving us their customers. One feels that one is in a factory, the background, the place has that industrial feel. While the aroma has captivated you by the nostrils. Of course when one sips one choice of coffee, one knows what coffee heaven feels like & overall it is a captivating experience!!! Where the senses are truly treated, enveloped in the lush cocoon of a captivating aroma & the palate by both the cakes, scones & treats, as well as their coffees. True Coffee Nirvana!
Very lucky to have such a great coffee place next door! The coffee is always absolutely amazing. The smell of the roasted coffee beans is the next level. The place is very cosy, and the staff are lovely. I really like the cabinet food too but you need to be in early :
Friendly, good value, unique interior. Just loved our Monday lunch visit!
