Chemist Warehouse South City Shopping Centre

Arrived here five minutes before closing and a super helpful man did everything possible to ensure I could shop and get my stuff quickly. I am not familiar with the layouts of such stores in New Zealand and the packaging is different so it took me a bit and he helped point me the way to what I needed.nnSuper easy. Batteries, sunglasses and shaving cream. Yay, a quick in and out. Exactly what I needed. Prices were good. Not great but good.

I feel as if entering this store has it attempt to physically transport me to Australia, but it's incapable of producing the immense heat that passively exists there, and therefore overwhelms literally every other sensory input I could ever have.nnThe fluorescent lights? Disgustingly synthetic. I'd rather navigate the store with a flashlight.nnThe music? No, I dont need to hear the droning sounds of Coldplay and Ed Sheran as if they're distant sirens calling me to run my mind ashore within sea-side crags.nnThe layout? Perhaps, if it weren't for the fact that they insist on having staff stock all their products on shelves during open hours. I am by no means blaming the employees, that's a corporate decision for sure, because you'd have to be a disembodied and distant decision maker to think that it's a pleasant working and shopping experience to be participating in an ever-changing obstacle course of boxes of products strewn across the floor to allow that to be the standard.nnThe staff? Lovely. They're great. Never had a bad experience.nnAll in all, the prices are low, but there's a tax of a little bit of your sanity every time you enter.

Received my online order which hadn't had lid screwed on properly and leaked half the contents all through the bag. Contacted the store to be told they required photos to prove this. Too bad I had disposed of the big mess 2 days prior. End of story they won't accept your word. Pretty lousy way to treat your customers but I guess they really don't care.nJust lost another customer

nWorst experience ever in NZnThe clerk scanned the most expensive one of our items TWICE. I checked the receipt right after our payment because the total was much more than I expected, and then I found there was something wrong. We finally got a refund for that DOUBLE SCANNED ITEM WITHOUT ANY APOLOGY. When I saw the lady clerk’s face I could tell She must have done that ON PURPOSE. She looked like she already knew what she had done. I see lots of tourists, not only local customers, come and go this place and you should not run your business like this. She was such a careless, rude and unprofessional.

Love the shop and the bargins, also super handy location BUT the pharmacy .... it's painful. I pick up my scripts weekly and every week there is a problem and something is stuffed up. Super frustrating experience, I'm highly considering changing pharmacies at this point it's become beyond a joke, even being a 'long term user' of this pharmacy, the customer service and quality of service is no better, staff don't seem to communicate with one another or check emails/faxed through scripts etc.nIf your looking for constancy, familiarity and things running smoothly with your script them this is not the place for you.
