Very quiet block of units, close to main road, but barely noticed after first day. Tidy, simple and cozy unit that covers all the basics, perfect as home base for adventures...have had a very comfortable and relaxed visit. Beds are perfect. Wonderful friendly Managers.Rooms: 4/5
It is truly a 3 or 2 star hotel. We stayed upstairs and these unit had it been redone yet like the photos. The shower had very little water pressure. The carpet was older and worn out. We never got new towels it was more like an extended stay. It was cheap and that is what we booked so don’t expect the a nicer place.
Great location and nice, affordable rooms. Wifi is a little bit weak but doesn't really matter if you've got a full weekend of activitiesRooms: 5/5
Good location and cheap but that's about all the positives. Water pressure in the shower was dreadful, toilet took about 10 minutes to refill the cistern, the beds were ridiculously soft. Didnt replace the empty toilet roll. Kitchen had an odd selection of appliances, utensils and crockery. Reception wasnt even staffed when we arrived so had to ring a number to be told where the key was. Multiple internal doors didnt close properly and only a code for 1gb of wifi for an entire 4 day stay and then a ridiculous cost per mb.
Clean and tidy place. Stayed there for a week. Room service everyday but just to replace consumables, no cleaning. They have a laundry in their private garage which can only be accessed when the owners are around.
The owners were nice at first but for the rest of the stay, they were rude and not helpful. When asked for towels in the morning, the wife came and gave it and in the evening the husband yelled at us and said we should have come down to get the towels ourselves, which we weren't told beforehand. The rooms were cold and dirty. One of the beds wasn't made. There was smoking even though it says on the website there's no smoking. The rooms smelled of urine and cigarettes, it was very unhygienic. At midnight we were woken with the sound of loud music, we checked where it was coming from and a few moments later a man knocked on the door. We called the office about it because a it says music should not be played after 9 and b we didn't feel safe, they said it's ok, they're not going to harm you. We didn't feel safe at the time especially after coming back and seeing the police attending to one of the rooms earlier and because the man didn't stop knocking and he clearly had a couple of drinks. The day we checked out we were harassed by the owner, he told us we needed to go even though our check out time was an hour and a half away. He said we needed to go cause he wanted to put some suitcases in for the next guest and that the cleaner was coming. We found this very disappointing and disrespectful,. There was no need for him to yell at us and kick us out, especially when our check out time was an hour and a half away and we paid for an extra night. All in all, our stay was not pleasant, we DO NOT recommend this motel.
Even though we only stayed for five minutes as we had to find a motel closer to the hospital for my partners surgery we were so glad for the down to earth and welcoming kiwi hospitality. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the owners were very flexible and understanding of our situation and happy to give us a full refund given the circumstances which was such a relief. Would recommend, great value and excellent customer service :
Room smelt heavily of human urine. Was over charged and treated with no respect. Was expected to clean own dishes as were dirty in sink of unit. Very noisy and dangerous road only meters from units. Price does not reflect the condition of the rooms, uncomfortable beds, tiny no extra TV, no sky, had to pay for own Internet at excessive prices. Stains on carpet and need mattress. Absolutely disqusting excuse for a motel more like a dog kennel. Minus 5 stars. READ OTHER REVIEWS I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH EXACT PROBLEMS THIS PLACE NEEDS SHUT DOWN.
Once again we stayed at this motel last week. Once again as I have learnt from past experiences here Annette and her team went above and beyond for us. I cant express how much I recommend this Motel. If you want high specs and 5 star then go elsewhere, if you want friendly clean and comfortable then this is the place. We needed a late requested extra room which with some shuffling around was arranged for us, I asked for a late check out for our older boys that were flying out later and after Graduation drinks definitely needed to sleep in...once again No Problem! She even organised a shuttle for them so I didnt have the hassle as I was flying out much earlier.Such a fantastic location and super comfortable beds. Highly recommend to anyone.. Stayed 7 nights here for cup week. Very friendly, clean, tidy, and even cooked me breakfast well past the advertised times ! Would highly recommend.
