Accomodation Gateway Motel

Great overnight stay here! Car breakdown required urgent lodging for the night at pretty late notice. The staff were very helpful and welcoming which was comforting and reassuring to a stressed traveler! The room was absolutely beautiful, lovely decor, fresh and very clean.nI was exhausted and slept like a baby!n10/10 from menThank you Gateway Motel

Decent stay, clean, comfortable room, great interaction with staff to organise checking in after hours. Not ideal that it's an extra $25 to arrange a check in after midnight when the keys are left in a lock box, not a complaint as I booked at around 11pm and arrived after 1am but would've liked to have known about the charge before booking. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Great staff. Nice refurbished room. Had everything I needed.. Kitchenette, armchair, extra blanket so cozy. Staff went above & beyond to make sure I was looked after.nIs located on quite a busy road, this didn't really matter to me, but it might bother some people. The shower pressure is probably not up to most people's standards, but again I didn't mind it.nThanks for everything guys. See ya when I'm next in town

Disappointed in our stay here recently. Mainly due to the Adam the director of this establishment. Poor communication, no accountability, or rectifying situations HE CAUSED. I stayed here with family recently. My family’s booking with the place was cancelled by Adam without any prior warning after we booked directly with Adam, we drove 7+ hours only to get there and have no where else to stay as all other accomodation was booked out. His fault entirely. The room? Well our fridge and food storage was right next to the toilet yikes, we weren’t provided enough towels or dining ware and the internet was crap so the tv was out. For a ‘multi million dollar business’ his words, the place can do with a HUGE over haul. Would not recommend staying here and won’t ever be back.

We had booked this property approx 1 month prior to arrival through booking.com. When I arrived at the Motel, reception was not open, so I called the number posted in attempts to check in.nA man answered the phone and I was told that my booking was cancelled; I had no notification through booking.com that this was the case. He stated he had messaged me to say the booking was made in error and they would not be able to honor it. I received no email or phone call stating this, even though it was readily available to the property. He also staed the booking was cancelled, although it was indeed not. I later verified through booking.com my booking had not been cancelled.nMistakes happen, however the gentlemans attitude was not hospitable or professional, at all. When we asked for a solution, we were told there was none, the whole city was booked. When we told him that was not good enough, he instantly got defensive and told us to contact booking.com. I thankfully was able to book through airbnb last minute for the night...nMy advice to the proprietar is to not get defensive when faced with an upset guest, but to work with them for a solution. Do more than the bare minimum to contact guests when a booking error is made to avoid such mistakes in the first place. Getting angry and blaming the guest for your lack of effort and error is just not good enough.nI would avoid this property.
