Aspree Motor Inn

Have stayed here twice previously and was meant to be our third time, but upon reaching Palmerston North from a long drive All the way from Auckland thought we would notify the reception that we will be there in 20ish minutes. After talking to the lady she said that there was no booking under our name and that it was for the following week with no vacancies for the nights we were meant to stay, despite clearly stating, and seeking reconfirmation that the dates were correctly booked.nnThe previous experiences had been good, however this time the service was exceptionally poor. Luckily we managed to find accommodation elsewhere as it would have been no issues staying in the car, however travelling with elderlies grandparents imagine the discomfort this would have caused considering their age and the travel from Auckland.

Nice, clean, comfortable Motor Inn with good facilities. Close to restaurants and cafes. A very friendly, helpful receptionist.

Room wasn't clean. There was dust and cobwebs on the walls and fixtures, the floor was unvaccumed, there was left over rubbish in the bin that hadn't been taken out and a wet towel was left in the shower. Tried informing reception but they were closed at 8 despite saying they were open until 8:30.
