Drovers Motor Inn

Have left a 5 star review from when we stayed in another room a few years ago, so a bit hesitant to leave this one, but the room was quite disappointing. We stayed in Rm 4, the toilet seat needs replacing, it's pretty yuck from peeling and yellow stains. The bathroom sink was quite gross too and needs replacing and when my husband turned on the shower the shower head shot off cradle and sprayed around the room. Really needs a warning. The shower head just pours out like a tap. The venetian blinds at the back let so much light in it was difficult to sleep. We needed to hang a towel over the roman blind edge as it stuck out too much from wall and our daughter couldn't sleep as the light poured in on her bed. The lady at the desk was friendly but seemed a bit confused as to where our booking was.nThe bed was very comfortable though, however the scent of the laundry powder used was a bit strong. We felt $255 for 1 night in this room wasn't fair.nnHaving stayed here before in a different unit where I gave 5 stars, I'd not like to put anyone off staying here, however perhaps ask not to stay in room 4 until it's had a few updates made.nnPluses: bed comfort and the lovely wee kit-kat bars in the fridge on arrival. We can tell the cleaners would normally do a good job where there's a smooth surface to be able to wipe down properly.

Very clean, modernly updated fresh rooms. There was a small wine & milk bottle in the fridge, which was a nice touch. I was meant to stay two nights but had to change travel plans so only stayed one night. If you are a light sleeper you may want to ask for a room away from the main road. Car park was tight, but over all was a good choice of accommodation.

Clean and modern styled. Water pressure was fantastic and the rooms all smelled fresh.nStaff in reception were great to deal with . Thanks for a happy two day stay and we will be back.

We mostly really liked this motel. It is one of best in Palmerston North. rooms are spacious and very clean. Beds are comfortable and there is God kitchen space.nThe TV is a larger size. Unfortunately we had a ground floor room and could easily hear people upstairs walking round in shoes. Really need to drive into town. Some shops are handy across the road.

Great place to stay, clean and plenty of room.nLoved the fact that they don’t use the little bottles of soap and shampoo, doing their bit for the environment.nThe tap in our room in the bathroom is a bit sticky, so might need to be looked at.nWould I stay here again when I come back to Palmerston North next time? The answer is yes.
