We ordered the Chatham Islands blue cod thinking it would be battered with chips, like a pub meal. We were very pleasantly surprised. The fillets were beautifully cooked and plated. They were arranged artfully on a tasty smashed potato rosti. The salad, avocado and dressing were a sublime combination.nWe will be back!
Lunch. The prawn meal was tasteless as were the other meals. The lettuce accompaniment was tired, paltry and limp. Some poor small dog tied to a chair barked occasionally in despair and the table server was observed giving it a kick to quieten it. Unacceptable. Too many tables meant limited access and entry between. A noisy cafe where crowds were chatting loudly as is the reason for going..company and good quality food so why have music trying to compete? Such a great location not reflecting the environment in quality of simple, quality food, taste, ambience, service. Disappointing for loacal and tourist alike.
Enjoyed the Keto meal, was delicious and fresh. Portions was even on par.nLatte trim milk coffee was superb alongside the ice chocolate.nnValue for your money.nnI recommendnnMy work colleagues had bacon bene and the salmon bene. Both enjoyed their meal too.nnPhotos attached to drool on.
Good coffee, good lunch food from the menu, portions are generous, tasty & filling. We had the Cajun chicken sandwich in yummy bread & great hot chips and a BLT also on the same bread with chips. The place was busy but tables moved frequently & the staff we’re constantly clear plates away.
Great portions for price and lovely staff, always a good place to take the grandkids. Leaves me feeling full and satisfied.
