I have mixed feelings about this place. To start with, it's one of the best places to find a decent Eggs Benedict portion size. Everything is cooked perfectly. However, the sauce was rather plain and tasteless, lacking any tang, which was disappointing. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, though I would appreciate some music as a background for mood-lifting.nnThe service was rather poor, with no greeting upon entry and no instructions on what to do. I ended up needing to ask whether we should just sit down or not. However, food arrived promptly, which is a positive aspect!nnI can see myself returning as it was indeed a wonderful meal, and perhaps the plain sauce was merely a one-off.
I absolutely love going to Thyme either with family or friends. The Eggs Benedict is the best. Followed by a great coffee and a piece of one of the amazing selections of cakes.
I’ll start with the food in my review. Their food is delicious. I’m not being biased, the food is delicious. It is never cold when it comes out, it is the perfect temperature. The plating is well done, and never messy. I mean you can’t see that from the fries, but you’ll have to take my word for it.nMoving into service, top tier service from the cafe. The staff are very friendly, I am a cafe regular, and the staff have memorised my usual. There is a good customer relationship with the staff, if you go regularly, as they will remember your order. The food comes out promptly, and you don’t have to wait in hunger, even on their ultra busy times. Drinks come out so quick, and are always delicious.nThe atmosphere is lovely, and is actually a renovated cottage that was once in Glendside. It is slightly cramped, but personally I find it to be cozy. They have a warm heater in the main dining area.
Cozy little coffee off Statehighway 1 shortly after Wellington. The coffee shares the same driveway than the plantshop. Has plenty of parking, Gluten-free options.Tasty food and coffee, friendly staff and fast service.nCertainly worth the detour and worth it, reasonable prices too.nCheers
Cafe Thyme, what a lovely setting leaving the garden centre you take just a short stroll across a pretty bridge to the cafe set among trees.nThe cafe itself has indoor and lovely outdoor areas to sit, there is a very good selection of cabinet food plus a very good menu to choose from, l just had something light, but very well prepared and presented, the staff very polite and efficient.nThis cafe is very nicely presented with prices in comparison to other places, the only thing is it could be a bit tight for a car park, if busy and garden centre is full, but there is the street.nA definite high star rating for Cafe Thyme, they are worth every star.nPlease walk or drive over the quaint bridge to the cafe and enjoy a meal, or light lunch in such a lovely atmosphere, a cold wet day a lovely warm open fire to greet you, with good company, go on try it out, it's deffinley worth a drive.nThankyou Louise
