La Cloche Kaiwharawhara | Wellington French Café & Catering

We dropped in for a quick takeaway and as usual it was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. As we waited for our takeaways, a lovely staff handed us a glass of water which is an awesome gesture. We have dined in several times and we never had any negative feedback to provide. Lots on the menu to choose as well as your usual pastries and sweet desserts. Our favourite is the seafood casserole! Very rich and if given the chance, I would lick the bowl! Parking can be tricky as there are only a few on the street and several others by the side. Best to book if you do visit on the weekend or just wait as the turnover is pretty quick.

Stopped here a week ago.... holy crap it was packed! like sardines!nThe place must be very popular amongst the locals, food looked really good! plenty of delicious desert options, got an almond croissant and coffee, the croissant was probably the best one i've tasted after our local baker, the coffee was good but not amazing and the wait time was too long. Will definetly be back! Menu looks fantastic, praying for fewer people and a shorter wait next time Lol..

Love the French vibe and delicious food, including escargot ;-D The dishes were beautifully presented, honest and delicious! Have yet to try the desserts but they caused serious drools!

Excellent food and service. We arrived at a very busy time with people lining up the waiter told us to sit down and he would come and take our order,he was very accommodating and attentive to everyone. Food is great and the cabinet food is just as good

My husband and I called into La Cloche for lunch in 5th January and enjoyed our meals immensely. I ordered the most delicious shell fish casserole and my husband ordered the chicken burger. The cafe was extremely busy, the staff were friendly and helpful. We recommend this cafe to everyone for their beautiful meals and yummy pastries.
