Fries was so crunchie, fried just right. I have always Loved their cabin food and last time thought to try some fries, that was GREAT!
Such a cute cafe nestled in Tawa. I was impressed with how reasonable the prices of everything was, and the food presentation was incredible. The muesli was only $12.50 and absolutely delicious. The portion size was very generous and it was topped with lots of fresh fruit. I really hope they make the avocado toast a permanent menu item as all my flavours were beautiful together. The bread also wasn't super hard and didn't require a chainsaw to cut unlike the toast at most other cafes. Again, the portion size was very generous. My only recommendation would be to have slightly more beetroot hummus. Both menu items didn't leave us feeling groggy or ill either, which was a bonus. The cabinet food looks incredible, so will definitely be back sometime very soon.nnStaff were friendly and attentive. It was quite busy at 1pm and the line did stretch out the door, however the staff were very quick to serve everyone. In spite of it being a somewhat small cafe, it shouldn't take long to find a table as many people opt for take away.nnOverall, highly recommend Urban Eatery if you are hanging around the Tawa/Porirua area.
I've had the Eggs Benedict with Salmon several times and its always delicious. The bread tastes fresh. Generous salmon And spinach portions. The Hollandaise sauce has a nice lemon zing and goes very well with the salmon and spinach.
Absolutely delicious food and coffee, we had no complaints at all. Possibly the best poached eggs I've ever had!
Wanted to share how amazing the staff members in Urban Eatery are.nI came in to get me a quick lflat white coffee, and some donuts at about 4. 15pm the staff member had finished cleaning the coffee machine, and I asked her for a large flat white.nThis is how awesome the staff member is, she offered to still make me a coffee, I felt bad, and said to her, it's OK, I'll buy me some donuts.nThis is what I'm talking about, she was still going to make me a coffee, even though she had clean the coffee machine. Awesome customer service!!!nNormally when I try and get a flat white coffee, around about 4.15pm, the staff members say sorry, coffee machine clean nYou have a loyal customer who will come every Saturday
