Excellent service in an easily accessible location. I found myself in need of a new rear tyre. I called just out of hours on a Saturday, left a voice mail and was called back a few minutes later to book an appointment. Comfortable, no frills lounge available whilst waiting. No hard sell. Available options presented to me, professional and courteous throughout.
10000 km service done today, connected my heated grips straight to the ignition system, bike always feels great after a service at Yamaha, very happy.
1. I made a purchase of Tricity 300 from them, at the beginning the communication was fine till I paid full price of it. The manager Mr.David B promised all kinda tip would be given rather 'just handle the key only' as the model has totally different technology : sound was very trustful. 2. On the pick up day, he was absent so I had to deal with younger mechanic : who seemed new to that model also, finally what happened to me was the key's passed to me only simply. Wait, is that what the guy says, not gonna happens? 3. Try to contact the manager for the first service in exactly the same e mail way that I communicated with, couldn't hear any answer from him for a week, literally had to call them for it, luckily workshop staff answered and booked me in on a day midweek. On the service day, the manager was in shop, on the phone on his desk, I waved to him, kept staring me for a while, then turning his chair to continued his chat - I had to organize finding where to leave my scooter for the service. I physically been in that shop 3 times. - 1st day for talk about the model and paid deposit, 2nd day to pick up the scooter, 3rd day for the service. Overall it obviously shows how their service has dropped so far, gives me a feeling that I paid fully so no need to be looked after? or, no matter whatever happens on my scooter is my responsibility? or .. do NOT care at all? I guess all their staff members are nice and sweet, and that manager was busy for very important issues on the day when I was there. Cuz it's a possible scenario. BUT NO MATTER WHAT, I AM ONE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO EXPECTED 5 STAR SERVICE FROM YOU OF COURSE, but unfortunately that didn't happen to me. At least, the lady who helped me for the insurance was very kind and helpful tho.
I bought a battery, the staff who sold me the battery never checked it, I put the battery on the bike and it never worked, I made the claim the next day and I have been waiting more than two months for the warranty or the return of this, and every time I call them they give different answers, the truth is bad advice and bad customer service. They should care more about the customer and how would be the best way to solve the problems.
Thanks to Yvette and Jackson my experience with Yamaha City has been a 10/10. Almost everything was done over the phone and digitally except the finalisation and pickup for my 2022 Yamaha R7. Yvette and Jackson couldn’t have done a better job throughout the process and i applaud them for their customer service and dedication towards Yamaha City.
Drove 1.5 hours to pick up part told it was in stock get there not on shelves. Then lied to was told we rang twice second time told not in stock .dosent even make sense why would we drive all that way wasting fuel and tolls also phone records show only one call.i would not trust these guys lazy and deceitful.
I went to customise my xsr700. Didn't know what to expect as its really hard to get someone to enact your vision. I must say that Byron and the team at yamaha port Melbourne exceeded my expectations. The custom work turned exactly how I wanted it to be if not better. I know for a fact now that if I hand my pride and joy to them, it will be looked after properly. Thanks guys. Keep up the good work.
Just picked up my R7 - the sales guy was easy to deal with and straight forward - amazing bike!
Very helpful and friendly approach . Where bmw Melbourne will just ignore you, here your are welcomed and your questions answered.
Picked up my baby 2018 R3 a while ago, got a good deal on the bike, and their staffs are very friendly and professional wayyyyy better than their next door neighbor, ironically I was planning on purchasing a ninja 400 from next door but the altitude of those sales is just unbelievable, ended up buying this beautiful machine. Also they sell OEM parts from Yamaha as well I got this R6 throttle tube from them for about 62$ a little bit expensive but saves you a ton of time and effort going through the internet and decide which one you’re going to buy. Definitely recommend this dealer Can’t wait to get my hands on the mt-09 as soon as I finish my 3yrs of restricted license
