Price gouging. The research has been done. Insane price hikes are simply Woolies and Coles profiteering with phoney cover stories. Boycott. Don’t let it become like NZ here. You have other options.

7pm on a Sunday. It closes at 9pm. All the big tills are closed and nobody is serving. The only option is selfcheckout, which is not ideal for a big grocery shopping.

Here on holiday. Just got mocked by a young Woolworths employee at the self service checkout. I was waiting for an open register and a customer behind me says “there’s one open at the end”. I say, “sorry”, and said to the worker, “ I didn’t see that one open.” He then turned to the man who called out to me, who was now standing at the register next to me and he muttered something to him and they laughed and looked at me. The employee then said in an old lady voice, “is that one open?” And they laughed and looked at me again. I left feeling humiliated then angry. That employee should be letting customers know when the next available register is free. That’s his sole job! I don’t even think I deserved to be mocked like that? I didn’t do or say anything rude, I wasn’t angry? It was a really awful experience and I’ll have to shop there again for the rest of my stay as there aren’t any other supermarkets here.

Woolworths brand premade meal lamb rogan josh $11.50 huge disappointment, feeling ripped off!!!! Tasty but I only had 2 chunks of lamb. Should have just gotten a pub meal for a fraction more. At least I would have left with a full tummy.

Tragic Woolworths is supporting the destruction of Antarcticas food chain by selling krill oil and associated supplements. Whales eat Krill and this will eventually result in their starvation if we harvest their food source. They also sell farmed salmon which contributes to the destruction of Tasmania’s delicate ecosystem. I reckon we boycott them for Aldi instead!!!
