I have been shopping here for the last 6mths I do find prices to be extremely high compared to other places the quality n freshness is good n variety only quirk I have is the Caesar salad I always buy the serves have become smaller n smaller n prices have gone up I find the Caesar how they making it ..to be quiet scabby n not value for money now ., overall if you can’t be bothered chasing discounts n want a quick shop go to tugun market ..I guess comparing to the other fruit market that used to be there for years it’s a far better layout n variety but omg even prices for soup can be upwards of $15 plus it’s soup so have very deep pockets ..one small bag don’t come out under $60
In the past I gave this store five stars but as it transformed and became , no doubt very charming, we were priced out, unfortunately. However we have been purchasing great Campos coffee here since the cafe section opened. So it has been much to our dismay that over the past couple of months the quality of the coffee has taken a nose-dive for the worse. Is it the way the beans have been stored? Or the way the coffee is made? Has the pressure of the summer rush made the baristas rush the process? Don’t know, but it has been disappointing to myself and friends. :
The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is cos the Tugun market is expensive. It’s definitely more specialty shop than market . It’s well organised, plenty of staff, and has a great range of products ~ just a lot that’s available is much more expensive than the same products elsewhere. Still, if you don’t mind trading high prices with a less frantic shopping experience than you’d get at Cole’s etc , go hard .
Nice store to walk around and find some different ingredients/products that aren’t at typical grocery stores.nGreat coffee.
After reading some recent reviews, I had braced myself for overpriced items - I was pleasantly surprised! Meat, dairy, fruit and veggies all very fairly priced and of fantastic quality!
