It is a fantastic zoo with a mimic African safari. Safari is limited to herbivores section. 
Cheetah, lions, etc are confined to enclosures. So is the gorilla. Overall it's not bad though I could not avoid feeling bad about the caged once.
Seems they treat the animals well and atmosphere in general is good.

Incredible experience.  The African Sundown Safari was so much fun.  The staff were awesome, they were so happy to make our night awesome.  Well done to the zoo team sharing your beautiful animals with us.  Best zoo experience ever.  See you again soon!

Great set up and family friendly environment. Took the safari trip to get a more up close experience with the African wild life. If you’re lucky you’ll get a lot of attention from the animals. There was probably some distance of walking required to see the king of the jungle and other wild big cats but most of the animals were not willing to come out to play due to the heat so I would recommend going there when it’s not too hot or too cold if you want to see the animals more up close. Cafe there is nice and has good food. Wear fully covered shoes so your feet don’t get dusty and dirty.

Great zoo. Very African inspired and gives us a great insight into the challenges of poaching and endangered species. The enclosures a great, the setting wonderful. I couldn't fault the staff especially the gaming hosts. Well worth a visit and a return visit.

Excellent  facilities lots of shade and play areas. Water park Area active when temp is over 25 degrees.  Animals and envlosures excellent.  Safari bus and tours great. Magical day.   Staff are amazing. Yearly membership  is well worth having.
