SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium

Very interesting and well done exhibition! Been there a few times with the family (we live in Melbourne). Would recommend to families but also to adults that are visiting Melbourne. It's really interesting for adults as well. Only down-side is that the price is a bit steep. But we got an annual pass (taking our toddler there regularly) so the price / visit is going down fast.

It's been around for many years now but the attraction is still there. Always busy with lots of visitors including those from overseas and the many school outings. Many species of fish turtles tortoises frogs etc but the highlight would have to be the penguins and their antics. They were great. Good time spent here.

I thought that the price was a little costly, until I saw the penguins! That was one of the best observation place of the cute penguins. I never knew some penguins has molting period and you can see them being all furry and scratchy. We also witness how fast a penguin can swim! Amazing. I envy the caretaker of these penguins. Of course, we get to see many beautiful sea creatures and fishes, crocodile, turtle and even lizards! But my heart is biased towards those penguins.

What a great afternoons entertainment. There are aquariums on four floors and a trail for the kids to follow. Many tanks have dome viewing domes for the kids to get a closer look. There are many species of fish and tortoises, lizards, frogs and much more. The highlight for me were the king penguins. Much fun was had.

Great place for all ages. 2 cafe areas and good range at gift shop. Many levels but lifts available too. Penguins a must see visit ... and the jellyfish ... and the sharks. Carers free entry with DHS Carer card and their Disability Pension charges. Crowded on school holidays. Touch/feel area with educated staff. Your photo is taken on entry for a special memento; for a price.
