Thrifty Car and Truck Rental Tullamarine

Yeah you'll get what you booked and you'll save money getting an uber here from the airport than getting it at the airport directly, but the staff certainly aren't breaking any land speed records in filling out the paperwork to get you your car like you would at the airport.

They think they can make customers by quoting them less price over the internet for the next level vehicle. ASX for the price of OUTLANDER Booked for OUTLANDER got ASX. staff told they are of same type. On 17/10/2017 I booked "Intermediate Wagon (IWAR) Mitsubishi Outlander (or similar)" as per their professional language and got confirmation email on the same day for a $252 for 7days way cheaper than others and I was very excited but I read some negative reviews over the internet how these companies works so next week decided to give them a call as I only wanted OUTLANDER due to extra luggage to fit in boot and lady over the phone said we only have Outlander in Intermediate wagon so you only gonna get outlander nothing else and she in fact won my confidence But when we went to pick up the Car on 20/11/2017. Firstly she did all the paper work including C card charge and asked me lot of questions in the meantime where I am going why I am going how many people are travelling then she offered me if I wanted a brand new Honda which just got delivered today and I said no then she Grabbed the key to go to the car, when we went to the car it was ASX so I said to the lady we did not book for this and she said this car comes under same range level and its on our website it will be Outlander or similar and that what we got for you. So in the end we cancelled the deal and got all money back on the c card. They think they can make customer by quoting them less price for the next level vehicle. ASX is small SUV but OUTLANDER is medium SUV how come they both are on same price

Great company to deal with when it comes to car hire. I am a sales rep and travel around hireing a car is a horrible part of it. I recently hired a 12 seater van. And dealing with Thrifty Tullamarine was a great experience. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend using this company and in particular the Tullamarine branch.

The most disgusting and disgraceful company and staff I have every experienced, charge an expensive rate for a dodgy car.....then on top they make you buy a refedex (map book) or instead charge a daily fee to 'loan' an old non updated GPS that makes you go insane. With all the fees and surcharges; especially the massive fee for a late return and the fee if the cars not completely full with petrol, which costs a fortune at the nearest station because they know you have to fill it up before you return it....it makes a $200 rental car turn into an $800 rental car very quickly. Above all the most disgraceful part of it all was the distance from the actual airport which is not even close to the (Melbourne airport) which USED to be the Tullamarine airport, which when you have to push your 70 year old mother in a wheelchair and carry 3 heavy bags by yourself all the way there.....And all they have to say is it must have been your mistake! Well because the whole holiday was prebooked for Less hastle and they already had a downpayment as well as credit card details....it was in fact the worst 'mistake' ever made. Never rent a car with these people. You will regret it!
