Just came here to have a dine out for my husband’s birthday. Ordered food worth of $100 approximately bouquet A and appetizers. Made a reservation for 6pm 10/12. They served our appetizers and took an hour complete with no sign of the main entrees. Waitresses came and said no masman beef curry after good 20 minutes we still were patient and replaced it with another curry. Around 8, food came room temperature. Kept waiting for our rice, had to literally call the waitress and ask if we were getting our rice. The rice was a small portion however we ordered a large one.nWe were very infuriated as we tried are best to be patient. I told the waitress that we will not have this dinner and she said she is fairly new would go and ask someone who is experienced as what to do in the situation. She went to the back of the house and came and said all good you can go. What an unprofessional response and no apology. Never going back. So disappointed!
We had high hopes for this restaurant with it being in South Perth among plenty of competition, but were sadly disappointed, aside from the satay skewer entre which was nice, the rest of our food was abysmal, I ordered pad krapow which for anyone who has been to Thailand knows it is minced chicken with snake beans stir fried at extremely high heat with chilli, basil in an oyster based sauce, what came out was a combination of every vegetable under the sun, the chicken was dry due to having almost no sauce at all in the dish, I was sceptical as to whether it had even been cooked fresh in a wok, my partner ordered a vermicelli stir fry with similar results, next to no sauce in what should have been a very moist dish. I don't enjoy complaining as a rule but I feel I would be doing them a disservice by giving them a decent rating. Had any of the staff asked how everything was I would happily have told them, the sight of most of the dishes left didn't seem to trigger any kind of response which gave us the impression it wasn't out of the ordinary. The place itself is nice as well as the staff and I'm sure probably was great at some point, maybe 2009 when they won the golden plate awards which is still displayed on the front door, trouble is it's now 2025 and the food is no longer worthy of awards. 3/10 a response after months from the owner, the review I have affiliated to a competitor apparently, about what you would expect from a business with such appallingly bad food, review was genuine, avoid at all costs.
Take away - second time I had mussaman curry - again beef was sooooo dry, had to chew and chew. $30+ for smallest container, 5 pieces of meat and rest was huge chunks of potato. Did give it a second try but definitely won’t be ordering again from T.O
