The most recent experience was less than impressed. Ordered stewed pork hock. When received the food found the portion wad half of what normally is. We been there numerous times and have that dish a number of times so I can say I am fairly confident what to expect. Asked the waitress. Responded we only have 1 size, sorry. Disappointed. Otherwise, previous experience were as below. Food is quite good. My wife loves the beef salad, which they use steak rather than stir fry beef most places do. The stewed pork hock is flavoursome and best with rice. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming due to the used of wood and vibrant and exotic colours and patterns. Service is consistent.

Food was okay tasting, but quite small servings (and not much meat) and a bit on the expensive side. Customer service is not that great. I ordered rice to go along with my dishes, and in the menu it says rice is charged "per person", so when I finished my bowl of rice I asked for another one. Come time for the bill, and it seems I was charged twice for rice. When I asked the waitress about this, she said "one serving is for one person, you had two servings so we charge you for two people". ????...in every restaurant I've been to, "per bowl/serving" and "per person" mean different things. When I queried the lady at the cashier, she said the same thing, and also added "if you didn't eat the second bowl but sent it back, we wouldn't charge you for two people, but because you ate it, we'll charge you"....???? again. We spent nearly $50 per person on food here, I'd expect the customer service to be much better than that.

This place....where do I start! A much welcome addition to Eastland Shopping Centre! The food is fresh, authentic and delicious, staff are super friendly and efficient, the decor is gorgeous and the music is the extra special lil touch that completes this place. Plus it's super affordable, definite value for money with the quality of delicious food and I've never left there still hungry. Couldn't more highly recommend this place, both for eat in and takeout, if you're in the mood for scrumptious Thai food, must visit!!

Being half Thai, with my mother Thai and travelling to Thailand so many times over my life and spending up to 3 months there a few times as a child and going to school with my cousins (never doing the tourist thing over there), I have always loved Thai food in Australia and do enjoy getting it, but always resign myself to knowing it's prepared for Aussies and never authentically. Not one to be fussy about it, I'll eat it anyway. However Thai Alley... oh my... the owner is Thai, the staff and chefs are Thai and the food is AUTHENTICALLY Thai!! I honestly cannot believe it and went here a few times to make sure before taking my Thai mother here (who DOES NOT eat Thai food in Australia - I kid you not, she refuses to eat Aussie Thai food). But I took my parents here when they were visiting from QLD and Mum and Dad could not believe how amazing the food was! I was there for dinner last night again and tried different dishes and am still so impressed, and going back there again today for lunch with my parents before they fly home - and my Mum is actually so excited haha! She is never excited about Thai food in Australia. The decor is modern Thai style and just beautiful, and the owner and staff are so lovely and it's so refreshing to be able to go to a Thai restaurant and know I can practice my Thai language hehe. 5 stars all the way for me!!!
