Super good cuts of meat. We ordered the tomahawk to share as well as other sides. The pork ribs were to die for, and I can't stop thinking about their Brussel sprouts. Service was top. All in, we spent $480. It was good.
Hunter & Barrel offers a truly amazing experience. The service is excellent, attentive and professional. The food tastes good and is of high quality. The atmosphere has a bar-type feel, and the service is always attentive. It's the perfect place to get together with family and friends.nAnd the food was amazing
Booked the private dining room for my extended family of 8. Service was on the slow side - restaurant seemed quite busy and so they were probably short staffed.nnFood was pretty decent, we ordered a bit of everything. We definitely over ordered though..nnStarted with 2x Hunter Tasting boards - one shouldve been enough.nThen the Hunter PlatternHalf rack beef ribs,nSide of truffle potatoesnSide of broccolininPork belly skewer with side saladnSide of chipsnnCould've skipped the pork belly - it came out quite overcooked perhaps?nnWas pretty happy with everything else Ribs and chicken wings were my favourite.nWould have liked to see some brisket on the menu. And some gluten friendly options
First time here, fantastic food!!! I live pretty far away from Ringwood myself, and being an often-goer to the “sister” restaurant Meat and Wine Co, I thought I’d try this restaurant out at least once, despite how tedious it is to get here from my end.nThere are a great range of food that Hunter and Barrel offers, from set menus, to ala carte, skewered, lunch menus, etc.nI gave the 3 course lunch set menu a try today, and for a similar price to MW, had good hopes for it. I ordered the Wood-Smoked Mozzarella as an entree, Slow Braised Beef Skewers as the main, and the Dark Chocolate Tart for dessert, as well as a complimentary Coke Zero as a soft drink.nEverything was absolutely delicious, from the balance of flavors in the entree of crispness to slow-cooked capsicum, to the sweetness and forest-like flavor of the chocolate tart. Probably one of the best lunches I’ve ever had, however one complaint I have is of the the chimichurri that pairs with the skewers, it’s a pretty oil sauce to pair with. But you can always ignore it too.nWill definitely visit again!
Well…what can I say. This place did not disappoint. It’s my boys birthday and he loves steak houses yes defeats the object when he gets ribs!, we’ve been to a few places but he gives this one . I think this is his new fave place.nnI had the explorer menu, all I can say is, starve yourself for the day because even with a set menu, they don’t hold back on portion size. You get 3- courses with a variety to choose from. I ended up taking mine home in takeout boxes. I didn’t anticipate how much would come, bigger than belly springs to mind.nnLene, our server, is one of the most attentive people I’ve come across in a while. So the service is second to none and I hope she receives the tip I left .nnMy boy had ribs as per usual but these were juicy and amazing.nnThanks so much @hunterandbarrel for making my son’s birthday memorable.nnWe’ll definitely be back.
