Taxi Kitchen

Taxi has been one of our favourite dining locations for many years. Tony and his team do a great job producing a quality eating experience which is imaginative and very tasty. I don't think in all the years we have been going, that I have eaten the same dish twice. The choices are many and the staff are happy to help if you cannot make up your mind. They are also more than happy to vary some of the meals to cater for most dietary requirements. Call ahead and ask if you are concerned. The cocktails, wine and beer choices are excellent. This is the place to go if you want some of the best views of Melbourne and enjoy a special night. Not exactly the cheapest place, so be prepared to spend about $100 per head for a three course meal and drinks. Definitely worth the price.

The best set menu and service I have had. Food portions are quite appropriate and not too much to fill you up, service was prompt and each menu came at just the right time, with very high quality food. Staff has good knowledge in the food they serve, and are consistently ready to follow trough with any kind of order. They even let us borrow their jacket when we said we were cold and asked for a blanket! Just wow! Got very good recommendations for both white/red wine with the mains. Returned the second time in a year, still remains as the best restaurant I have been to. The set menu got $10 cheaper with consistency in the food that is served. Highly recommended for those celebrating a special day, book and ask for a good table and you will be provided with a window view table. After sunset the blinds are rolled up and candles are placed on tables! Ended up spending 3 hours in, which felt more like one.

Wonderful food, and incredible service. I am coeliac and the staff handled my dietary requirements expertly, were extremely helpful and gave a level of service I have not had anywhere else. The staff were even polite enough to ask if we had a time limit or somewhere we needed to be following our meal (which we did) and made sure service was prompt to allow enough time for us to continue our night without interruption or delays. The food was delicious and there was a lovely selection of gluten free options which didn't skimp on flavour or variety. Thank you for relieving the stress that often comes with eating out for me.

Great views and modern dining area. Food is good and the service was really good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great place for a small function or group dinner. You can then suck upstairs to enjoy a cold beer in the sun while watching the city go by.

Table of 8 for a work function. Fantastic food. Lamb shoulder is absolutely beautiful. Waitress chose all out entrees at a table of 8 and everything was very good. Waitress was great and worked out to be about 120 per head which included a fair few beers so price very reasonable. Would definite go back.
