Chin Chin

Another one of my go to restaurants when I’m in Melbourne town! Don’t let the fact that you can’t book out you off the awesome staff will text you when you table / bar spot is almost ready once they take your details at the door. (This will be the case most of the time because it’s always super busy) Every dish in the menu is top notch and the best way to explore that is to get the feed me menu (min two people). By doing his you’ll get around 7 dishes for around $70 each and its. Or only value for money but you WILL be full after it’s all said and done! My tip would be to ask your waiter to make sure they add their favourite dish to your menu! I would also tip that you get a bar spot! Not sure why people always want to get a table by the bar is where all the action happens! You can see some of the workings of the kitchen and I find you will get often better, faster service. (Use this for any restaurant that has a bar service section) Overall... Chin Chin is my favourite place to go in Melbourne and it’s always worth the wait. The dishes are fresh tasting, quality and can be as spicy as you like! GO!!

Amazing food! We chose the $70 “buffet”. You tell the wait person of any dietary restrictions and your likes and dislikes, and the food keeps coming. So many glorious flavours and textures. The atmosphere is open and casual, if a bit noisy. Check it out if you’re willing to wait, or luck in as we did on our third time.

Visited once and is now one of my favourite restaurants ever. One of the only restaurants where I've sat down and there's not been a single menu item that I wouldn't have happily eaten. Went for the 'feed me' experience and loved everything so much that I ended up buying both their cookbook books

I guess I've been very lucky as i got a spot at the bar when I got there. My friends who went there had to wait for 2-2.5 hours before they got a table, granted, they walked around because the staff will text you when your table is ready. The food at Chin Chin is not your usual Asian dishes, it is very modern Asian fusion and the flavours are very unique. Presentation is 10/10, staff are nice, lightings are dim, atmosphere is very young and it's quite noisy. Ideal for a girls night out, a spontaneous date night or just join the hype and see what's so special about it! Personally I go once every few months.. when there's friends in town.

Awesome. Weekend outing include Brae and Heston's and this was the best. And by far the least expensive. Everything except one dish was outstanding. The menu is pretty unique too!
