FIRST CLASS JAPANESE RESTAURANT IN MELBOURNE CBD Sake is an elegant Japanese restaurant with a comprehensive menu and a long wine list. We (3 of us) ate there on a week night and enjoyed every aspect of the dinner - food, wait service, ambiance and quality! It was busy but that didn't impact on our comfort as the staff managed the traffic very well and there was a sense of calm and tranquility in the restaurant :) Our waiter was very well informed about the menu and the wine list and brought out our dishes at just the right times! Cant fault it so it gets a full five stars from me!

Good Japanese dining option. Restaurant is nice with good seating options for couples and small groups. Good range of dishes which are of a high standard and decent proportions. The range of beverages is also good as is the wine list, although a little pricey. Parking is very limited but two commercial car parks are very close by in the same block.

Service was slow. Food came out much faster than drinks. Serving sizes were small for what you are paying for but had flavour. Good to taste different dishes but really need to not be as tight for what you paying for.

Excellent establishment and authentic Japanese food with excellent service but the price is also extremely expensive. I've had better sushi and better service for less, so I probably won't return.

Really delicious Japanese sharing menu. Highly recommend the kingfish carpaccio. Every dish was really tasty and there is a broad range of options for pescatarians and meat eaters alike. Good wine selection also with a couple of lovely rieslings. Desserts are interesting - highly recommend the dragon's egg
