Husband and wife John Evans and Sonia Greig's restaurant in Berry on the NSW South Coast. Modern European food showcasing the produce & wine of the region.

Story

At 'SOUTH on albany' we source many local, seasonal ingredients for our simple modern menu.Influenced by chef John Evans Welsh background and European training.
The menu is accompanied by a fantastic wine list again offering many wines from our local regions.
We believe the Shoalhaven and it's surround's have a great deal to offer and we hope we can give you an insight into whats great about the South Coast in our relaxed and friendly restaurant
Children are very welcome, our food and service is simple, unpretentious and most importanly done with lots of love and passion.

Six of us from Sydney on a long weekend trip to Berry were lucky enough to score the last lunch booking on a Saturday. The food is locally sourced and extremely fresh. We all enjoyed our the shared entrees and our individual dishes. If only the service was a bit faster and I would've loved to have a dessert. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the side door was left open on a 38 degree day and the air conditioning was nowhere to be seen (or perhaps it couldn't cope). We sweltered and couldn't wait to get out of there.

We regularly recommend South on Albany to our bed & breakfast guests (having dined here a number of times over the years ourselves) - they always return raving about their experience! The food is fresh, local and beautifully prepared and presented, and Sonia's smile lights up the room and instantly makes you feel welcome. South on Albany is a great dining experience - and their numerous awards are well deserved. Five-star all the way!

Visted with family, & relations from Berry. One word WOW! Totally unexpected. We shared a selection of starters that were great. Main ..Duck confit. 5 star. Licorice parfait. 5 star. Don't miss going there when in town.

Lovely restaurant in Berry. Great service. Oysters were v fresh. Food was delicious. Overall a great experience.
