"Tetsuya’s Restaurant is located in the centre of Sydney at 529 Kent Street. Tetsuya Wakuda refurbished an heritage-listed site, with influences of traditional Japanese-inspired style, to create a serene dining enclave in the city.Tetsuya’s serves a degustation menu. The degustation is unique, based on the Japanese philosophy of using natural seasonal flavours, enhanced by classic French technique and utilising the freshest possible ingredients. Tetsuya designed his own on-site “test kitchen” within the restaurant to enable him to create the constantly evolving and inspiring dishes on which he has built his esteemed international reputation."

What do you say about a Sydney institution like this? The food was incredible, each dish was made up of two or three elements which hung together perfectly, but in tonality also made a lot of sense in the order of the menu. The additions to the menu were excellent. Definitely the best menu we've had in Sydney or abroad. The sommelier had excellent suggestions, but didn't let me take his word on it instead offering me a taste of wines before I made a choice. But all this I expected. What I didn't expect in a place with this much sustained excellence, was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I made a big mistake in my booking, and it would've been so easy for them to say 'sorry ma'am, try again' but instead they somehow adjusted and fit us in! They treated us (and everyone else) with incredible care and grace, even when every table was full. Overall it was an incredible experience, and we can't wait to go back - once we have managed to digest all that amazing food!

Had the classic courses in the private dining room. Beautiful location, great food but not the best. Must try if you are in Sydney.

Absolutely faultless from the moment you turn up at the door right up until you leave. Impeccable service and food was outstanding. We had the degustation menu with the wine pairing and it was lovely. Highly recommend.

The best thing about this restaurant are service and the food. The cozy of the Japanese inspired ambiance makes your feel you are in Japan. And I say service because their staff really makes you feel very comfortable with big smile in their faces. And the food "yummy!", I cant wait to come Back.

One of the many beautiful dishes we had. Fabio was a fantastic server and we had a beautiful time for my father's 60th birthday. Could not fault anything from the food to the service. Would give more starts if possible!
