Story

Every artist wants to leave their mark; to create a legacy that is not only remembered, but quintessentially theirs. Just as owners chef Matt Moran and Bruce Solomon have done at Aria. Their award winning, two hatted restaurant at Circular Quay, on the very edge of Sydney’s glistening harbour.

Here the delicate touches, the time taken, the passion shown and the sincerity of delivery all play a part in the performance of fine dining. And it’s one we love performing in this intimate and breathtakingly elegant room.

We’ve been composing this Aria since 1999, replicating it with refined purpose to elevate the senses with a signature dining experience like no other. Now regarded as a timeless culinary masterpiece, Aria is recognised with numerous local and international awards.

✍🏻🇦🇺Chief Matt Moran and his team continue to impress. I rate Aria as one of my favourite restaurant in the world. We had the center table with a commanding view of both the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. The food, service n ambience of the restaurant r just fabulous together with the freshest, top quality ingredients. Favourite dish is the champagne lobster with French toast which is absolutely wonderful. 💰 •••AUD$175 pp•••

We had a wonderful Easter lunch at Aria. The view was spectacular and service was top notch. My husband ordered 4 course while I opted for 3 course. All dishes were flavourful and prepared well except for my pumpkin pasta entree which was rather disappointing. The truffle bits did nothing to the dish.

We had a most wonderful meal, service, and experience at Aria. This was our first trip to Sidney and we had just picked up our tickets for the opera and were looking for a nice place to have a meal. Most of the restaurants close to the opera house are very ordinary. I just happened to look up and saw the white table clothes in the window of Aria. We went in and were so glad. The wine list presented many options and the wine I chose went well with the lamb I order. The lamb was cooked to perfection and so was my husbands fish. The ambiance with a view of the harbor was delightful and the service was impeccable. When we visit Sidney again we will choose to eat at Aria again

Almost everything was perfect. I do have to say the duck (main) was pretty disappointing due to being covered in soft, flabby skin. Would have been so much better if they’d gotten it crispy. Another review from 2 weeks ago says exactly the same thing, so hopefully the chefs will take note at some point! Overall, however, a lovely night.

It was an excellent experience start to finish. The service was phenomenal, the food perfectly prepared and served. The wines selection was also very large. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and always happy to help. It is an expensive restaurant but well worth it for special occasions.
