Seems to me like they are removing the only worthwhile dish that was served to us that night - the snow egg. Despite my already high expectations of the dessert I was still wowed. Now the same cannot be said for the rest of the dishes. For $180 I expected something more than what we had been served. The food was oozing mediocrity... Seemed like they put all their eggs in the snow egg basket.the wait staff though were well informed and very professional.. and was able to adapt their service to different personalities if each table.. save for one Asian guy who seemed to be talking much too loudly. Definitely had better food for cheaper..with much more wow factor and much less boring, bland, unimaginative dishes.

My review of Quay is function based. We had our wedding here and found the service was as best as it could be. This is not just from the bridal party, but feedback from the guests as well. The maitre d was fantastic. Issues to address were discretely and promptly attended to with the flow of the evening smooth and professional due to the efforts of all staff. Food was perfect and delivered on everything you would expect from taste to presentation. I would highly recommend Quay Green Room for private functions.

We were disappointed with our experience at quay. The location and service was great with views of the harbour bridge and Opera house, however a fine dining restaurant should ultimately be about the food! The dishes were well cooked however the flavours were uninteresting and there was no particular WOW dish. The saving grace was the wine pairings. They were all individually good wines but let down by the food pairings. Hopefully quay comes up with a new menu. Other restaurants are really pushing the boundaries of food and that's what we should be expecting from a fine dining restaurant.

Divine. Food was amazing and the staff were fantastic. Nothing was a problem for the staff and they made us feel very welcome. There are a few options for food, we had 4 courses which included the famous Snow Egg. Very extensive wine and beverages list. This is a must try!

Great, then service just dropped off Went here for my birthday, in late Dec. 2017. Got an patio table with a great view. Food was great, but service was good, then dropped off. about halfway through our main course, I felt like they forgot about us. and it wasn't full. I could understand if it got packed with a demanding corporate group, but that wasn't the case. At one point I had to chase the waiters a bit, and served myself the Sake, that was placed on a table out of reach. It is a bit expensive, but I had researched it, and considering the location, the view, and the food, I felt it was deserved. But the service went from good, to ok, then absent. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the service, but the food was at least 4 stars, and the location was 5 stars.
