If I could have given it zero, I would have. The entrance is inside the Meriton car park, there are no Secure Parking signs outside the entrance gates. I spent 40 minutes driving past it 3 times until I read another review which explained the location, without that I would never have found it. The car park is also very poorly designed and could not possibly meet Australian standards, the two way ramp is way too narrow and coming out, it is not possible to make some of the turns without reversing in a mid size sedan. The spaces are also rediculously narrow and most were reserved. I have been driving for 14 years and use car parks regularly. This is without doubt the worst car park I have seen in Sydney, much worse than even most valet ones. Best to steer clear.
Tried this car park for first time 31 January. A shocker to actually find and if I had not read the reviews on line would have missed it. No signage visible at all from Bathurst Street when driving! You can't drive in from street straight away as you have to then wait for closed doors to open. Signage then is again appalling as you are not told that you have to go down at least 5 levels to get to unrestricted parking. Again there is no signage on each parking level to tell you that "ground floor" is Level 11 in the lifts. When you get into the lifts you think you have to have a pass card until you find the lobby button as 0 is NOT ground level. Again you are not told that lobby level exit on foot is Pitt Street so a bit disorientating when you get out on foot. Having now used it once, I will know what to do next time, but cannot recommend this for a first timer. Secure why not do a physical walk around and see what I mean and get some good clear and helpful signage installed outside on Bathurst Street and inside the car park. Currently not one of your better car parks.
Set your GPS to 'Meriton Suites Pitt Street' so that it takes you along Bathurst St. Look out for the Meriton signage, this is actually their car park. There will be a small sign saying 'Secure Parking - Casual parking available' on the wall, don't drive to fast or you'll miss it. The gates are closed but will open after you stop in front of them for a moment. Upper floors of the parking are reserved for Meriton guests so you'll probably have to descend 6+ levels of twisty ramps to get a place to park. The lobby is level 11 on the elevator, if you are leaving the parking lot late, you'll need to get the security guard to access the lift for you as the elevator won't let you go anywhere without a swipe card. It's not the best parking experience, but there seems to be plenty of parking available went there during Vivid Sydney
Without TJ Chor review and guidance to get into the car park we would be lost... thank you TJ Chor for taking the time and posting the detailed instructions how to get into the car park. I still believe it is a good value, cheap car park in the City, just the getting inside instructions for 1st time, were pretty poor. You have drive through Meriton Suites Gate at Bathurst Street and at the boom gate enter the Secure Parking code. Than it was easy, down to level 6, parked, lift to 11-lobby and out. Must acknowledge that the turns are tight, but used to even tighter lanes from South Europe so not too bad. I would use this one again- cheap and now I even know how to get there
Fair price for early bird at $18. Easy to access, just check on Google maps before you go so you know where the entrance is. Very clear where to park, and how to access lift. Frustrating that the first 6 levels are pre-reserved. Also Sydney people have zero chill and will not pause for even a millisecond to let you get across the footpath.
Very very bad experience, booked online thinking yeah this is great! different story when we got there. drove around the block at least five times, no visible signage off Bathurst street in the end waisted a whole 45 minutes then in order to not be late for a 60th anniversary cruise ended up parking in the secure parking on Elizabeth street. had 15minutes to run to king st wharf. in our haste did not see the 7pm closing time lock down so had to leave the car overnight and catch the train back to Blacktown then back again in the morning and an extra fee for leaving the car overnight. wasted money on the online booking then double the parking fee at the next car park, train fares and time wasted. My advice: Catch a train. What a joke.....
The horrifying experience! Avoid unless you can come by the day before and find the place. It's not on 329 Pitt Street but on Bathurst st Cross city tunnel just before the Merriton Appartements and Cafe Tramezzini. Be careful not to use the Sat Nav as it will send you left onto Pitt st past the entrance. And then you will have to go round the world to come back. And once you do find the entrance and go inside. You find no places until you are in the bowels of the underground. Once you find that rare place no markings or colour to remind you where you are no exit signs or lifts. You will walk around wondering how to get out. I took the fire escape and climbed many stairs and then got out desperate for some fresh air towards the Meritton service lifts. Now I am out and free albeit 30 mins late for my meeting and I have no idea how to get back to my car. I gave tried calling the service number but I have been on hold. Avoid like the plague unless you are an expert. Not for me especially accompanied by little daughter. I think next time I am going to pay more but use a pro parking service. Addenda: just spoke to the operator of Secure Parking and was told that there are no security cameras on the parking floorsonly at the entrance So if anything bad happens underground will stay underground. No one will hear you.
I am so speechless...no sign of secure park and we found the entrance after passing it 2 times. If you have to use this car park, follow the sign as pics show.
I spent 45 minutes on looking for this car park. Unfortunately the Meriton car park was closed at that time which shared the entrance with this Rialto parking. I finally couldn't get into this so called Secured Parking and wasted my money.
Put up a sign you idiots.I drove around the block 3 times to realize that it is the “Meriton parking”.Was informed from the hotel staff that for some reason the sign was removed.Put up a sign or put some info your page that it is the Meriton parking.I also called your phone support assistant and she also had no clue.Good jobporra
