We had a good stay at Seahaven Resort. The location of the accommodation was perfect, close to everything. The rooms were done up, and modern; however, the cleanliness wasn’t to a high standard. The bathroom was relatively untidy with a bit of mould. The staff were nice. The breakfast inclusion was good, but the plates were incredibly dirty. We needed to take 3-4 plates off the top of the piles before finding a clean one. Overall a good stay, with a few things that could be improved to make a better experience.
So for starters I thought from researching this resort that it was in walking distance to the strand which it isnt.nThe resort itself is dirty and out dated.nThe pool was murky green. My kids convinced me to swim in it, which I did until some hair floating around wrapped around my fingers.nWe all got food poisoning from eating the breakfast at the restaurant.nThere was a bag of rubbish left in front of our room door the entire 5 days we were there.nThe whole experience there was just gross.nPlease don't stay here!
We really enjoyed staying in the Seahaven Resort! Kids had a blast splashing in the two pools and running around the playground. The place itself is quirky and gives tropical vibes. Room was clean and modern, service brilliant. Food was amazing and good quality cucumbers in the salad were peeled and seeds taken out, I mean who does that anymore! And Continental breakfast had something for everyone- bacon, eggs, hash browns, pastries, fruit, bagels...
Pool was green and cloudy, couldn't see the bottom and scum line around water level. Looked like a swamp. Wanted to leave immediately but had pre paid.nnRoom was a good size and looked recently updated but shower was mouldy and sliding door had no lock except for piece of wood. Beds way too soft, sunk right down. So uncomfortable.nnGardens were shady and bit overgrown, no water features were working. Abundant with mosquitos. Paths all uneven, generally rundown.nnBuffet breakfast was on trestle tables on the outdoor deck. Staff were wearing running shorts and bathers and tights. Not enough food available. I had to ask for hot water for my tea, only scrambled eggs available and no non dairy options for milk. We only had this once and we all felt unwell with our youngest ending up very sick with food poisoning.nnWe had to leave a day early and go home. Really really disappointing, rundown and unprofessional.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing resort, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I checked in, I was impressed by the level of professionalism and warmth from the staff, who made me feel right at home. The service was top-notch, and every interaction with the team was a pleasure. They were not only friendly but incredibly helpful with all of my needs throughout my stay—10/10 for staff!nnThe room was absolutely stunning. It was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean—this place truly knows how to maintain a high standard of hygiene and comfort. The bed was beyond comfortable, probably the best I've had in a long time. After long days of travel, it was a relief to sink into such a cozy and supportive mattress. I would give the comfort of the bed a solid 10/10 as well.nnBreakfast each morning was another highlight. The variety and quality of the food were exceptional—everything was fresh, and there were plenty of delicious options to choose from. It was the perfect way to start each day, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Another 10/10 in my book.nnOverall, this resort provides the perfect balance of tranquility and relaxation while still maintaining the professionalism and warmth that make it such a special place. As someone who travels frequently, I can say without a doubt that I’ll be back here every time I'm in Townsville. Highly recommend!
