John was great i was sick so caring. Housekeeping amazing. Bit outdated but price is amazing to have balcony views of the strand & water. Best shower hot water temperature & flow. Cafe downstairs. Tavern next door. Shopping centre behind you. Plenty of food outlets. Parking. Has a public laundry. Pool

The cafe at the front of the motel has great views of Magnetic Island and the food is affordable, presented well and is delicious. Will come again. Thank you!

What a gorgeous place to stay....look out from the balcony to gaze at the beautiful strand ....close to everything...waterpark..restaurants...seaview hotel next door....swimming pool....nice clean rooms....affordable...neat...the most lovely and gracious hosts / management.....top choice to stay in Townsville ..highly recommended 😎😎

Best budget accommodation in all Townsville. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Would give 10 stars if I could

Very basic and small rooms, old building needs renovating, cleanliness is average with weathered linen. Even though the ocean is right across the road the Strand Motel is situated on the block in such a fashion that you cannot see the ocean (what a shame) Plenty of other accomodation available for a little more in price so look around, Townsville is motel heaven with the Strand having motels built side by side one after the other and on every street corner so there are plenty to choose from.
