I've been to rock sugar a few times since it opened, best modern Thai in the area in my opinion. I've never had the impulse to leave a review, but when I went last time the service was so good that I made a mental note to do so. Emma was terrific from start to end, so nice compared to the waiters you meet so often who seem to just want you in and out asap. Cheers again Emma!

Food was a hit, drinks list was good but did not try out the cocktails list, and service was alright. For an early booking, our seating for 2 was odd - right in front of the door where the wind would whip our fare and hair every time someone came in or out of the front door. Plenty of other seats were available at the time. All in all, it was an OK experience, however it is very unlikely that I'll coming back or openly recommending others. I disagree with having my credit card details locked in at the time of booking to potentially be charged a no-show fee. If I do come back, it definitely won't be with a booking. Take my money when I dine with you rather than to cover your butt.

Rock Sugar has a vibrant atmosphere without being to overwhelming. The service was good, friendly staff. Had the fairy-floss cocktail which was sweet and yummy! I also ordered the chicken and prawn dumplings, wasn't overly impressed with the flavours, a bit bland. I had the tofu salad, I wouldn't consider this a "traditional" salad as it was deconstructed. The cucumber was very flavoursome and the tofu was nice. My friend ordered a green veggie curry, I had a bite and this was good! Will come back again to try the other cocktails.

Food was faultless! Pork buns, lamb spring rolls, massaman curry and dumplings were all absolutely devine and I would've ordered seconds if I wasn't completely stuffed! Music was a little loud, so not great if you're looking for somewhere quiet, but awesome atmosphere. Will be back.
