La Lucciola Bistro is cozy little Italian restaurant sitting on chapel st, South Yarra. It's got some fairly decent food, at partially decent prices, and is a good last-minute place to have a seat with friends for dinner as it's not too busy usually. It's close to many entertainment complexes so you shouldn't get too bored in the surrounding areas if you choose to go out after or before eating.

You won't find a more authentic Italian restaurant where Nona is still in the kitchen working her magic! Family owned for decades, La Lucciola is an establishment where famous people such as Michael Buble (I personally watched him devour a spaghetti bolognese with tuna!), sports stars and celebrities eat amongst locals that have been loyally dining here for most of their lives. An unassuming super star. I've thought twice about letting this secret out but feel like it's a nice jewel to share so why not!

Lasagne was simply lasagna sheets with bolognaise sauce. No bechamel, no cheese, no love. Real mediocre.

Tim and the crew here have been serving me awesome pasta since the 80's. By far the best Italian institution on Chapel street - bring on the Penne Tuna and Quatro Stagioni!
