Story

After a successful career playing basketball for Australia and in the WNBL (women’s national basketball league) for Dandenong Rangers and Adelaide Lightning, Kate made the transition to the family business over 12 years ago.

Working alongside her mother, Helen Smith who started the business in 1983, she gained extensive training and knowledge of the real estate business and continues her self-development through industry training and mentoring.

Kate shows a real determination to achieve and has received numerous state and national awards for sales and excellence.

Out of 150 Raine & Horne sales agents in South Australia, Kate has been ranked in the top 10 agents for the last 4 years..

In 2014 and 2015 at the annual Raine & Horne state awards Kate ranked “No. 1 top Sales person in South Australia” Kate Smith was also awarded Silver at the REISA awards in 2014 – recognizing her as the number 2 agent in SA.

Kate was also awarded ‘Top Salesperson Metropolitan’.

Kate has a true passion for the area. “Having grown up in Semaphore I have a great respect for the people and for Port Adelaide’s history.”

In 2009 Kate began managing the office allowing her to offer many services to clients, which include residential sales, property appraisals, residential auctions and boutique property management.
