4 months ago ordered 2 kitchen stools. Were told at the time it would be 14 weeks. We had to chase up about them. Finally after 16 weeks had to go to a warehouse. On taking them home they were not suitable. Contacted Customer Care as advised . We were happy to change them for 2 more appropriate stools. Not allowed to. Apparently something to do with change of owners so now we have 2 stools which look out of place. We ordered and paid for them in good faith. Certainly not reciprocated. Very unhappy
Purchased many items from Maroochydore branch of Oz Design, including a table which when it was delivered just didn’t work with our decor. Joe, the franchisee agreed in writing to take the table back less a 30% restocking fee. Having said 30% was a bit steep for a “restocking fee” he suggested that in addition he would give us an extra 10% off the sale price of the more expensive table we wanted to buy instead. I agreed to his emailed offer, at which point he withdrew the offer, saying he had got me confused with another customer. I don’t for a minute believe this, I think he just didn’t expect me to take up his offer and was backtracking when I did. Joe, the franchisee is not a man of his word and has lost himself and his staff a huge amount of future business as we have continued to purchase our furniture from another Oz Design store. We have ordered the Mango Creek table that we want through another store as well as 2 large bookcases. This franchisee is not to be trusted, so shop at a different Oz Design store. It’s a shame for the great sales staff Rebecca and Robyn as the franchisee is doing them out of their commission, they should consider working for a different business where they will be appreciated and able to earn the commission they should be earning.
Very disappointing service. Been shopping with Oz design for years and will certainly never shop here again. I ordered bar stools and had to chase them every week. Was told they would text me to notify me and that never occurred. Additionally when approaching the sales lady to enquire about a price of a large aboriginal print, she said “give me one second and I’ll find out”. She hadn’t moved from her spot and was talking to her colleague for at least 10 minutes. My husband and could not believe it. She then saw us walk towards her and said, “oh sorry you wanted a price for that print, didn’t you?” Absolutely appalling service.
Absolutely worse customer service I have ever had an experience to deal with. Driver error with delivery, no ownership of damage by driver, store customer service. I was told that I had needed a witness account of damage as evidence. Great products, but the very worse management processes and procedures.
Purchased a dining table & entertainment unit. 1st entertainment unit had a big gap in wood join at front. Sent pics thru and it was replaced with another unit after about 3 weeks- problem being the replay unit was even worse quality! Dents in top, wood at back all splintered - both units were seconds - not top quality and were not cheap items. Emailed store with more pics - manager Rob replied & is so rude. More or less said he couldn’t see a problem as damage was at back of unit! If he had seen the problem , he would have sanded it!!!!!! Requested a refund which was bluntly refused. Had to then wait another 3 weeks for the 3rd unit to arrive. Will NEVER purchase from this store again . The manager clearly does not care or have any customer service skills.
We purchased a leather chair for my elderly Father who is in aged care and was unable to come to test the chair. We referred to the aged care facility as best we could for size and style etc. On its arrival the OT and facility manager advised it was not suited for him and would not be approved for use. We explained our circumstances to Joe Munarin, the owner of OZ Design Maroochydore, and requested a refund. He was sadly rude from the start with his reply to our circumstances, with his final email simply stating: "Hi Joanne, You can request a refund and we can deny which we are." Kindness, fairness and look even a little empathy goes a long way, especially here on the Sunshine Coast. We and the rest of our family will not be using or recommending Oz Design Furniture again. which is a shame because we did really like the look of an 8 seater dining suite they had on display
The lady serving us in the shop was actually very helpful and polite, but constantly interrupted by another staff member who was very rude and sharp in her manor my husband had to squash by other pieces of furniture in order to get to the one we wanted to look at unfortunately this happened to be next to the service desk which the rude lady serving asked my husband to remove himself in such a manor that we all felt uncomfortable and we were unable to inspect the item properly iv bought items in there before and iv heard this person serving and thought how bad it is she behaves this way.just now reading the reviews I can see I’m not the only one who thinks this about the woman with short light hair and multi coloured glasses. I only hope my order arrives okay judging by the reviews wish I had read them before. Anyhow thank you M for serving us and doing a great job.
Disappointed that store credit instead of cash on returns or cash back on your credit is not available on accessories. I returned a purchase the day after purchase, because the colour didn’t work with my room to be told I could have a store credit only. Competitors Adair’s, Pillow Talk, Myer, Freedom all have a reasonable return for cash back policy to enable the consumer to be sure their purchase will fit, that policy is important to me and always results in a successful purchase for me, the retail outlet leading to customer satisfaction and return business. I will not be returning Oz Designs ... very disappointed. P.S. The accessories by comparison to other competitors ... very expensive.
Be careful shopping here people. My parents recently bought a dinning table first one delivered damaged accidents happen replacement arranged and delivered damaged again, after the second failure my parents asked for there money back which the company refused. After several weeks of discussion my parents agreed to receive a third replacement on the understanding that if the third is damaged the company will refund. The franchise owner confirmed he will physically check the table himself and attend on the day of delivery. Delivery day arrives and low and behold the table was damaged, the company agreed to refund the table but will not refund the chairs as these were not damaged even though they was bought as a set. So my parents are stuck with 8 chairs and no table. Shame as they loved the table just not the damage and experience.
Lucky to get one star! Dining table we purchased was delivered damaged - they tried to argue that we knew it had scratches. Then they made us pay for delivery of replacement table. They were arrogant and rude - made us out to be liars. The owner was so rude and argumentative that we ended up handing over payment begrudgingly to have replacement table delivered. Will never shop there again and warn others not to as well.
